The taste of blood is brackish in Verity's mouth as the knight coughs himself awake. The tall, imposing man is garbed in thick scale mail covered with a tattered white-and-red tabard. A heavy steel shield hangs over his back and covers a dusty backpack, and a longsword and morningstar hang on his hips. A full metal helm covers his entire head.

He lifts a gauntleted hand to wipe his mouth, but the dull rattle of chains informs him of his imprisonment. Reflexively, he struggles against the chains for a moment, then lets his head hang forward in despair. When the Pavelock Prison guards had marched him up to the castle, he knew that this dusty pile of rocks was to be his final tomb. Such was a sworn knight's punishment for disobeying a king's order in order to save the monarch's life.

At the haunting question, Verity lifts his head towards his shadowy accuser. Underneath his helmet, a bitter, empty smile touches his lips. "Me? I'm the man who dared to save the king's life. As for what I'm doing here, you probably know more than I do. So what'll it be first for a traitorous knight who protects the crown, hmm? Good old-fashioned hot irons? Start on the fingernails, perhaps? I'm sure you have a hundred ways of hurting my body at your disposal, and a hundred more ways to combine them together. Do your worst, but know that I was true to the king to the end."

Ackroyd moves about the corpses stabbing them with his sword to make sure there dead whenever he comes to a new one. Gradually moving towards the bodies of the guards

Huh? What room? What guards? Would it hurt to get a more detailed description of my surroundings? Is anyone else nearby? Am I still chained up? Etc.

you are no longer chained up, you are in the foyer of the castle, it is 40 feet by 40 feet it is composed of a Grey stone. There are 3 doors leaving the foyer, one to the south east and north. The are several old bloodstains in the room.

Tymio, Lena says... maybe if we go to the armory we could get some equipment to help with this. I remember one of the gaurds talking about it, and even if it is filled with horrors... at least... well at least there will be a reward that will help us later. Then she turns around and heads back over to the guards and drags them back towards the armory.

I would like to know for sure before making a decision. This **** is for real, we could die in here... I am not in a rush to speed up the arrival of the afterlife.

"Well while you two do that I will help our good man here open the door." As he said this Eric started pulling on the crowbar as well.
