1. What happens if I climb a tree? Do melee attackers reach me while Im up? If I get to climb do I need additional checks to stay up?

2. What happens to my equipment if I throw myself at water? Is anything ruined? And how thick in feet is the river in D15,E15,F15?

It depends on how high up the tree you get. If you get above the reach of your opponent, they can't attack you.

The water is ten feet deep everywhere, and it doesn't damage equipment from what I've seen.

According to the Ice Beast Template (Pg. 140 Frostburn), Ice Breath Special attack does 1d6 cold damage per 2HD of base creature. A Porpoise has 2 HD, does that mean it does 2d6 cold damage, or would it do 2d6 at HD3?
