Fears 3: Full Circle - Game Started at Post 88

This network reminds me of my ex. Never calls except when she needs a favor... oh well, I guess I can't blame her if somebody has a habit of destroying her phones. Even if she has a habit of using me as bait for soul-warping monsters.

Anyway, Festy's nominally here so I won't feel so bad about this. Here's what I've got on him:

Day 1:
Yeah, you wouldn't think there'd be evidence on day 1, but it's interesting here that he's the tiebreaker to kill DD and save FC.

Day 2:
Points at FC very early and doesn't change. No big deal (I did it too, there's no shame in it), except that he does it right before Mordokai. Mordokai is the first established wolf to hop on that wagon.

Day 3:
A very late point at Lex-kat when the Jontom wagon has a safe lead.

Day 4:
Point at SweetLikeLemons, no big deal.

Day 5:
No point.

Day 6:
Point at Smellie_Hippie. Doesn't change it throughout the day and stays uninvolved in the Irbis-related firestorm. Irbis mentions that "Uncle Festy's points have been fascinating this game." Yes, I know 90% of what Irbis said didn't make sense. He did point out Mordokai though and seemed to be involved in wolf information via Trixie. He also picked up on Oddity not being a villager.

Day 7:
No point.

Day 8:
Point at Lex-kat. No big deal.

Day 9:
No point. His reaction to the sudden Coplantor wagon is interesting though:

Day 10:
Throwaway point at Shadowhisper in response to the Mordokai wagon.

Day 11:
Point at Lex-kat.

Day 12 (I feel like I missed one somewhere...):
Point at ThePhantom.

Day 13?:
Today. Point at Sanity.

It's not perfect, but it has made me pretty suspicious.

I actually think I never read those couple of pages, because I was having a stressful month (you'll note I wasn't around ANY of the weekends around there, for RL reasons), and I didn't get the chance. So yeah, that was just RL getting in the way. Sorry about that.

Day 14 Ends

The final days of this exercise in cruelty have seen both the blood of the innocent and the guilty spilled, but rarely are the lines so clear-cut. What would the victims do, if put in the same position as those souls trapped in the Manor, the Fears? It's all so easy to claim that you would take the high road and refuse from an armchair. The same goes for the Fears? Would they refuse to destroy those souls if put in the victim's shoes?

In the end, it matters very little, really. It's all about survival...and if survival means the death of the other guy, then so be it. After all, you only have to swim faster than the one you're with, as the saying goes.

Back in the earlier days of the Manor, one victim was given a choice. Rather than die, she could be transformed. Unknowing, she took it and was transformed into one of the Fears on the spot. She was spared the torment of the others, and was duly rewarded when the end came.

Unfortunately for her, now is the time for her to pay her tab. It should have been easy for someone born of the Manor to hide from her pursuers, but the power had abandoned her. She had been herded from room to room before finally being slain by a hail of gunfire. The words of her former Master echoed in her mind in response to an unanswered question:

You can only wind the spring so far before it breaks...

You chose to kill FujinAkari. She was a Fear. Night 14 begins now and ends in about 24 hours.

For once the Manor was completely quiet and almost calm. Perhaps it was beginning to weaken with the constant loss of its minions or perhaps it was just a lull in everything that had been happening, but no one even realized that someone had been taken until the morning. There had been no noise, no struggle, the victim had just failed to awaken.

The quiet corpse served only as a reminder that no one was safe, and that anyone could be taken at any time with no one the wiser...

Geesi presented a strong case for Uncle Festy, but the evidence was just as good for a few other suspects, and they've been wrong before too. I'd hate to lose an active player so close to the end, and I'd like to hear Geesi's thoughts on it before we seal the lid on Festy.

I think for the moment I'm going to examine Zar Peter. He's been awfully quiet for the past few game days, which is awfully unusual for Petey. I know he's given up on doing analysis for these games, but that doesn't account for the fact that he has been unusually silent.

Well damn...

It was a risk he knew he didn't have to take, but he just couldn't resist walking among the flock, taking one last first-person view before attaining an all-seeing eye.

Now his eyes were staring down the collected firearms of the remaining SEU team.

I suppose I'm under arrest?

That's not how we operate. The remaining SEU leveled their weapons.

The Master only sighed. Well, let's get this over with, then.

The sound of gunfire started and never stopped until the SEU had emptied their magazines. The bullet-ridden body of the Master slumped to the floor, but it never dissolved like the other Fears had. In fact, when it was rolled over, it wasn't even Taylor Soyer.

Surprised? You shouldn't be. Did you really think it would be this easy?

Night fell to the sound of the Master's laughter.

The Master had already chosen his victim. There was going to be no playing around anymore. He was so close and he wasn't going to be stopped by the pitiful beings.

I know it doesn't make sense, not much does anymore. You killed me, I didn't like that...
