My school's mascot is a pirate (I think) known as Roscoe the Raider. However that is better than the "Missionary" because how could a missionary be somewhat intimidating. It is more likely that someone would collapse from laughter upon hearing the name.

I just heard someone outside in the hall discussing school sports and it suddenly struck me with painful force that yes, my school mascot is the "Missionary" (the school is named after the first missionaries in the pacific northwest) and yes, I will have to live with this for the rest of my life.

So what's your position on that?
