Re: Test of Spite Qualifier 1701(d)
Actions:
SpoilerI cast Chained Dispel Magic, targeting the man himself, his headband, his band, the cloak, the boots, and nine of the arrows.
I use Sleight of Hand to conceal my spellcasting:
SoH: (1d20+21)[28]
Assuming he can see me, he opposes this with a spot check. Keep in mind the distance penalty. If he can't beat me, he can't tell that I'm casting a spell, which I assume means he doesn't get a spellcraft check.
Dispel checks vs. equipment:
SpoilerBoots: (1d20+10)[13]
Headband: (1d20+10)[12]
Band: (1d20+10)[27]
Cloak: (1d20+10)[12]
Arrow 1: (1d20+10)[22]
Arrow 2: (1d20+10)[15]
Arrow 3: (1d20+10)[20]
Arrow 4: (1d20+10)[17]
Arrow 5: (1d20+10)[21]
Arrow 6: (1d20+10)[16]
Arrow 7: (1d20+10)[13]
Arrow 8: (1d20+10)[19]
Arrow 9: (1d20+10)[24]
Dispel checks vs. his buffs:
SpoilerF1: (1d20+10)[19]
F2*: (1d20+10)[13]
F3*: (1d20+10)[24]
F4*: (1d20+10)[21]
*Ignore whichever of these is his cloak.
F5: (1d20+10)[12]
M14: (1d20+10)[25]
M15: (1d20+10)[22]
M16: (1d20+10)[15]
S2: (1d20+10)[20]
If I forgot any or if I accidentally rolled equipment twice or something, tell me so I can correct myself.
Tell me what the auras look like afterwards. In the case of equipment, neither I nor my opponent can tell how long they will be turned off. You should roll the 1d4 rounds of suppression and tell me when I see the auras go on again. If the item has an observable effect for him, tell him that it's dispelled and when it's back on. Otherwise, I think he might not be able to tell that his items are suppressed, and might for example choose a supressed arrow when and if he uses his bow.
My turn is still not over.Last edited by Claudius Maximus; 2009-10-03 at 01:19 PM.

Then, I manifest Anticipatory Strike, giving me my next turn of actions right here.

Move: Regain Focus
Swift: Temporal Acceleration
Standard: Overchanneled Astral Construct (15) for an 8th level construct. I summon it directly between me and the detected figure.
Schism: Overchanneled Empowered Ego Whip (11), dealing (3d4)[5]*1.5=7 Charisma damage. Will save DC 24 for half, daze on a failed save.

Re: Test of Spite Qualifier 1701(d)
Actions:
SpoilerDoesn't look like I acheived much with that...
I use my Belt of Battle for a standard action, then cast Feeblemind on him. The DC is 27, or 28 if he would be flat-footed. He takes a -4 penalty if he can cast Arcane Spells. I can make him reroll once if he succeeds on the first save.
SR check if needed: (1d20+14)[23] Add another 4 if he doesn't have Shadow Weave Magic.
Conceal Spellcasting roll: (1d20+21)[26] This takes a -10 penalty if he beat the first one.Last edited by Claudius Maximus; 2009-10-03 at 06:19 PM.

Well, if it ain't called, that's precisely what I would intend to do, coup de grace from 5 reet away with some form of touch attack spell/power.
But completely disabled works for me too. Let some wolves in, I'll hit the showers.Last edited by PhoenixRivers; 2009-10-04 at 09:47 AM.

Re: Test of Spite Qualifier 1701(d)
Sharnian:
SpoilerA quick note: I am 65 feet away from Olo. If his Touchsight is only 60 feet, he can't see me with it.
I just realized that I've been mixing up my abilities. I can reroll this save as a non-action, but I couldn't have forced Olo to reroll his Feeblemind save. So, this is my new 4th save.
New Save: (1d20+16)[6](22) I give myself a +2 bonus via Spin Destiny.Last edited by Claudius Maximus; 2009-10-04 at 11:56 AM.

SpoilerHave I taken my actions yet, or does this stuff happen as soon as I move to C 11? If I have not yet used my swift action, I reroll my last save yet again, this time without the extra +2. My turn will simply be to cast Feeblemind, which fails. I do not dispel him or his equipment.

SpoilerWhy am I not unconscious? Did he never see me, or did I make the saves? If it's the former, then complications may arise if you told him my location. If it's the latter, then what exactly is the situation? Did I spend both my rerolls and only cast Feeblemind?

Re: Test of Spite Qualifier 1701(d)
Claudius
SpoilerYou might be concious because you're unable to be seen which as you say has some terrible consequences due to my lack of distancing knowledge, however I think you might be visible
Perhaps an equation might help? From C11 to L17, assuming no vertical distance is about 55ft. Factoring in the 20ft shouldn't matter much
E.g.
C11=3,11
L17= 12,17
d=sqrt of [(x2-x1)sqrd + (y2-Y1)sqrd]
d= sqrt of [(12-3)sqrd + (17-11)sqrd]
d= sqrt of [81+36]
d= sqrt of 117
d= sqrt of 117 or ~11
Now factoring in height,
pythagorean theorem is possible
a=4
b=~11
c= ?
16+121=c(squared)
137=c(squared)
therefore, sqrt(137) is less than sqrt(144), 12 squares so you should be within 60 of touchsight
If I made any error, don't hesitate to tell meLast edited by lvl 1 sharnian; 2009-10-04 at 05:00 PM.

Re: Test of Spite Qualifier 1701(d)
Note for Lvl1 Sharnian, if the match is deemed to continue due to error...
Defensive/Offensive information that may affect LOS for me, and for those attempting to see me:
Spoiler
Greater Invisibility (spot checks may be made to notice invisible characters within 30 feet. DC 20 reveals that there's an invisible character somewhere. DC 40 reveals the square.)
Greater Blink
Touchsight (augmented to 90 feet)
Spellcaster's bane (if I can trace LOS to where a spell is cast, even if the caster is obscured by some means, I instantly know what the spell is, and what the caster level is)
