Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
Wassup!
I showed a friend of mine some of our comics...
He said Mad Mask was like the Alex Ross of OOTS style.

Yeah, but, I dunno, his art looks nothing like Alex Ross's.
By the way, would this make Master Ranger the Rob Liefeld of OotS-style?Visit the Chocolate Hammer IRC channel!

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
Why does no one do a Paperclip?
Why do you leave Xartyve2 to the doldrums of... of... something I can't think of right now?
And why, for the love of god, does kpenguin not want to join All-Star?
EDIT: Ah what the hell, count me in to CoN. So would a Tux wearing Ninja be okay?Last edited by X2; 2009-10-18 at 11:02 PM.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
...Sorry, I just need to clarify, as my mind is foggy and tired. Are you asking if a tux wearing ninja would be acceptable in CoN?
Because if not, then I'm crazier than I thought, and if so, I'd have to answer you, as I suppose I know about as much as anyone on the subject of Novaris...

As of yet, there are no strictly ninja-based groups. Check the Novaris wiki for stuff, maybe a Monk of Amiashi (religion)? If that does not suit you, go ahead and try to bounce some ideas off us for a group.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
You sure?
I mean, you do already have a lot on your plate and stuff... so yeah, joining a new plot may not be the healthiest thing for you. But I'm sure we could find a character for you to play that you'd enjoy, if that's your only issue.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
Because it's eeeevil and only want all of us to suffer and the way to make you suffer is to render you alone... Or something
@Crimson: the outburst was in your comic as that's what I call it when anyone but you set something on fire and pursue those running. I'm just going to make a comic where he explain why.
@Gremlin: Star Wars pbp! Where!?
EDIT:
I should really look in the art thread more often. I am so having him misunderstand why a complete stranger give him a staffLast edited by Mina Kobold; 2009-10-19 at 08:07 AM.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
With the inordinate number of newbies who flare into existance and then dip into nothingness in the blink of an eye, who here thought Vic and I wouldn't be so prominent?

"wouldn't be so prominent"
I'd like to think that I've made my mark but, I 'spose, no luck.
Anyway I digress, what I meant was: Who here thought we wouldn't become regular ABR contributors.

Uh, may I now raise the point that I haven't been a regular contributer for a while, due to lack of time to do stuff I like thanks to school?

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
Hey, I started out as a really annoying godmodding person with abysmal art. Now I'm just an annoying person with POOR art. I'm definitely someone nobody would expect to turn out to be a regular contributer, and a very regular poster. I mean, Veera was an excellent artist, and she vanished. Same with Firedrake and many others.

*tries to comprehend relevance*
I would be happy just getting a Best Writer nomination...
As far as art goes PTHBTBTBTBT...
To me, it's the annoying chore that goes with the writing.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
You know what Xartyve? ANYONE can make fun of anything Master Ranger does. It's not hard.
It seems obvious that he's just a kid who's depretely trying to come up with something half decent to be accepted. And failing at it. But still, there is absolutely nothing to be gained from making fun of him. He's just an easy target.
You know which comic really is the best? Xatyve2000! Man this comic is great! There's this jerk who's exactly like Q, see? And then there's this girl, and she's mean too! And they become fast friends even though they insult each other! And there's this weird smiling guy!
...Look, you get my point, right? I'm not saying I hate your comic, by the way. Just that there's more to be gained from making fun of a comic with a sentient and listening writer then a ever failing writer who wrote two comics that sucked and made no sense.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XXVIII: Read it or Chris the celestial will set you on fire
Probably why it was spur of the moment
Too true
Because Q is in no way a ripoff of a character from a popular science fiction TV show. That'd just be silly
Friends? Have you been reading the right comic?
No argument here
I will try my hardest to never make fun of Master Ranger again...
But damn it's going to be hard.Last edited by X2; 2009-10-20 at 06:59 AM.
