a general upgrade of the security would probably be a good idea, and as I said, I'm a bit concerned about Magtok having the ability to hack our security.

If she comes in right now, she'll see something different than if she comes in in a couple of seconds. Not that it matters much. Only...6(?) seconds isn't a big deal.

Oh. Your food's really good. she says. She opens the door a bit, and she's somehow back in a pale green dress. Her hair's still in a French Braid, and there's red paint all over her. Her eyes are a little puffy and red, and the room looks like this:

The left side looks like an unfinished picture of a flowered field, except only the colors green and yellow are used, so no sky. The middle is a sort of transition to the right side, and the right side is covered in flames, darkness, and so on, using yellow, red, and orange, and a lot of those colors.

Astrid looks around as she smiles at her. Thank you, glad you liked it. I saw how upset you were, I figured you might want someone to talk to. She smiles slowly.

Aldren unconsciously finds himself wandering back towards Helens room... still singing the ballad. Getting quieter and quieter as he keeps going.

I don't think you need to aplogize, but he might appreciate a explanation. And I think the very fact that you are trying to be good shows that you are well on your way. Now if you excuse me I have to make sure my cake doesn't burn. She waves goodbye as she heads back to the kitchen.
