And how do you propose to do that?

She may suddenly feel a sword stab through her chest.

No. Nothing there. Nothing happened.

Daisuke's releasing his spiritual energy at her... and it's communicating what he intends to do if she even tries to harm the child.

"Eep ma'am!" No matter how often it happens, he won't quite get used to it cause it's so sudden with no warning.

Of course he freezes up when he hears Shania's threat. Ummm...

And those psychics are so hard to defend against. Without caution, Shania could probably kill it without moving.

Aaaaand it's about now that asprin-ated Quinn starts coming around!

She doesn't respond to the mental probings, not yet anyway.
Now that she's awake, though, her subconsious shields are a bit stronger.

Astrid frowns, she steps between Quinn and the women who just threatened her baby.

((Which is exactly what the threat is. She felt no phantom sword in the stomach. But she did feel the phantom sword attempt to be felt.))

You know what I mean. Now back away! Shania stands and goes over to Quinn. She'll attempt to seize the woman by the neck and lift her up. Only to be blocked by Astrid. Stand aside!

A phantom hand attempts to push Astrid aside.

"Oh... I guess this is a bad time." Decker hops down out of Butler's arms and glares at Daisuke and Shania. GLAAAAAAAARE!

Golden chains will probably wrap themselves around Shania.

Daisuke also begins muttering somthing else.

The golden chains wrap around Shania. And the baby is dead. Are you happy now? She smirks at Daisuke.

Butler will maneuver himself over to Quinn, putting some arms under her and whisper to her.
"Maybe we should run ma'am."
He's offering to carry-run her out of the infirmary if she wishes.

Well... he was going to. But he stops when he hears the baby is dead.

That didn't work out very well at all.

Daisuke growls, as he draws his sword.

You...

He appears behind her. And tries to knock her unconsious. By whacking her.

Quinn takes a few minutes gathering her wits - but Shania's words about the baby come through loud and clear, and her hand flies to her stomach.

Her other hand instinctually goes to her side, where she usually keeps a sword...

You...tried to kill...my child, she growls, giving Butler a quick look that he might be able to tell says 'thanks but I'm staying here'. I should kill you right here and now...

Shania might start feeling a headache now!

Astrid would react but it seems that several people react faster then her. But she stands ready to help protect Quinn and her baby.

Decker decides to sit on the countertop and wait the whole thing out. Quinn hadn't even laid her eggs yet. What was the big deal?

Shania is knocked unconscious.

Butler just steps back and gets attacked by deadtime for 1/2 hour to an hour.

Daisuke looks at her unconsious body.

That was... a huge risk. If she had actually had a grip on your baby's mind...

Quinn glares at Shania for another minute...then falls back onto the medbed, coughing violently, tears forming in her eyes.

Astrid rushes over to Quinn. Quinn are you OK, what's wrong? She tries to put an arm around Quinn's shoulders.

Daisuke gets two security drones to take Shania to the cells, where a psychic blocker is applied.

If GLoG has that sorta stuff. I think they do.

She's probably still bound to keep her from taking it off, as well.

((I can't remember us ever having a psychic dampening field. A psychic detector, back when Alek was running around (though I think it was destroyed), but not anything that blocks it. Admittedly, my memory isn't the greatest. DC, do you know?))

Used...too much energy... Quinn coughs again, and leans against Astrid weakly. What happened?

Daisuke looks at Quinn.

While you were out, I came in and noticed she had two souls. One was malevolent...

When I questioned her, she threatened to kill your child.

I took risks in thinking you had mental shields up. Although it seems I was right, I'm sorry for that.

I don't know. I woke up and you had hit the wall and were unconscious. That women was convincing Butler that giving you Asprin was a good idea. She seemed too insistent. Then she threatened your baby, said she killed it.

Come on let's get you laying down. Astrid gently tries to get Quinn in a laying position on one of the beds in the infirmary. She pretty much repeats what Daisuke said, but with a little bit more information.

Quinn, mentally and emotionally exhausted, puts up no resistance to being laid out on the bed. I...always am shielded, not as much when I'm unconsious though... She shudders slightly, realising how close she just came to losing the most important thing in the world, and starts to sniffle...

It was still a massive risk...

Daisuke looks troubled. I'm going to interrogate her or get someone else to do it as to her exact nature.

No. Not torture.

Daisuke doesn't do that.

But serious grilling will be done.

Hey it's OK, your both OK now right. If it weren't for your shields I don't think that would be true. You did a good job protecting yourself and your baby. She gives Quinn a little hug trying to comfort her.
