There's a big thump from outside of GLoG, as if someone had knocked on the door. Hard. And just once.

Investigation will reveal that someone pasted a large notice next to the door- apparently it is a demand for ransom, as someone named Genesis has kidnapped a person from the Taverna. While said person doesn't appear to be an extraordinarily important person, the notice goes on to say that Genesis will sacrifice her to summon horrible things if no one pays the ransom soon.
Yay.

In that case Quinn ponders using 'Inflict' spells in their they-heal-negative-energy-critters role when he undeadtimes.

A drone goes to retrieve the note and post it on the bulletin board.

Astrid walks through the halls cleaning up a bit here and there. Her mind seems to be wandering a bit though.

~Oh, I'm in the city. Quinn, I need some money. I'm planning a wedding for Daisuke and Val so Abigail can have a mommy.~

~Really? That's sweet of you! Do they know about this?~ Quinn asks - discreetly. ~I could help, maybe, if you want...~

Quinn chuckles. ~Welll...if you're sure they're ready for it...~
She makes a mental note to discuss things with the parties in question at the first opportunity.
~I'm...glad you're back, sweetie. Does your mom know you're here?~

~No, she doesn't. I got kidnapped by monkeys, but Butler and Decker saved me.~

~Oh my!~ Quinn sounds genuinely shocked. ~Well, when you get back here I'll have some chocolate cake for you, we can talk about wedding plans, and figure out how to let her know you're OK, OK?~

Not that it's likely anyone left here is going to be in the lab, all things considered, but I do have to bother posting to make the things so I won't be accused of pulling stuff out of a hat.

Astrid finds a book to reads and sits outside in the garden reading slowly as she sits watching.

Will Astrid notice the giant robot walking through the garden. Yep. She stares a bit losing her place in her book. She hasn't meet Runner yet.

Runner sees her staring. After a search of his memory that takes a fraction of a second, he determines that he has not introduced himself to her yet. So, he decides this would be a good time for such action.

Hello. My name is Runner. He has a cheerful tone.

Astrid shakes her head a bit and stands up trying her best not to look rude. Hello Runner, I'm Astrid, it's a pleasure to meet you.

Butler hops out of bed, glancing at Quinn. Hmm...
"Hello ma'am. How are you ma'am? Can I get anything for you ma'am?"

The pleasure is mine. Isn't he polite. I take it you are not used to seeing something like me?

Um, no... well not really. I have seen some robots, but they were small things not humanoid or talkative. Are you a member here?

Runner nods. Yes, I am. And, in all honesty, I would be classified as a member of an alien race before a robot.

Oh I see. No offense intended. It makes me a bit relived, the robots I have known aren't very friendly.
