...so Rock Falls, Everyone Dies? Cool. Akon isn't anxious on getting buried under an avalanche of rocks and will try to disarm the trap. Umm, like, cut the connection between the box and the wall or something.

...the hell? DC 20+ trap on level 2? How the hell am I ever supposed to make that check... Owait, I'm level 3. Soo, about the triggering mechanism, Akon will take a closer look; does it only trigger if the chest is opened?

Oh yeah...CRs for traps are sickeningly high. Heck, the lowest DD check for CR1 traps is 15. I tended to cherry pick some of the easier ones, but even so, it's rough on people that didn't focus on it.

It does appear to only trigger if the chest is opened.

Well, Akon will then simply apply blunt force trauma to the front section of the chest (under the lid) until he punches through. It was rusted, right?

Indeed. You can certainly do that, but it autotriggers the trap.

Amusing as that would be, nope.

You don't find anything on the door, but you do hear something inside. Oddly enough, it sounds like it's above the door.

If search of the surround walls reveals nothing, I'm taking out my Longspear and using the pointed end to open the door.

As you peer into this stuffy 10ft by 10ft room from a spears length away, you see only a door to the east, and a door to the south among it's rough stone walls.

What manner of sound is it that he hears? Should probably be easier to figure it out now with the room open.
