Except, the thing is, the letter's from somebody she hates. Which does make it a little surprising.

I'm Helen, she says, watching the tail.

And, yes, I think it's really busy too. It usually looks busy.

Hating someone can draw a lot of attention, too.

And as for the tail, it has a pretty yellow bow on it. In addition to an emerald-studded bracer.

"I don't live here. I've got a shop back in Town with my home on the second floor," Zee explains in her usual cheerful tone. "So I can only stop by to visit. Have to make a living after all! Oh! If you ever come to the city, stop by Trog's Tavern. I make the sandwiches there! Best sammiches in the whole Nexus!"

And then!

"Oooh! Pancakes, don't mind if I do!"

Abigail smiles. Glad you're back!

Helen grabs the plate, then replies I'm doing well.

Then, to Zee, she says I'll think about visiting there.

I am to it's good to see you again. And there is another hug for the girl as Val gets ready for her nap as her player takes off.

Good. But aren't you a little young to be here? Or are you older than you seem or have no other place to be?

EDIT: But she won't hear the answer, having to suddenly deadtime.

Oh, sure. I am pretty hungry. replies the 12-year-old-lookalike.

Okay, she says. Eklipso closes her eyes, then takes a slow, deep breath, to chill.

Abigail hugs back, and goes to have a nap as well.

Yeah, one of those. she replies, not specifying which one. Even though the answer won't be heard.

In her mind, she still sees a ghost-person who's whispering to her. It's kinda annoying, actually.

Zee frowns a bit at the onset of dead time. Then shrugs. One of those weird things you have to get use to in order to survive in the Nexus with one's sanity intact.

Rather like random gender bending.

Or getting turned into a hydra.

Or possessed by a spooky Far-Critter.

"Y'know, I'm kind of curious. What exactly do you guys do here? How do you pay for all the food and stuff? Does anyone work?"

Random gender bending? That's weird. The closet thing of that that's happened to one of my characters, was her bust got de-busted.

Well, there's a swimming pool, a training place, every so often, there's plots. And there's the nearby other buildings. Helen responds.

Some people here work, but most people don't. she says.

Unfortunately, she gets attacked by a deadtime ooze too. That's so sad.

Zee wrinkles her nose a bit.

"That must be kind of dull. It isn't good for people to just sit around and be idle all the time. Can lead to all sorts of trouble."

Like jacuzzi shenanigans.

And stuff.

"Well! Enjoy your temporal stasis! I had better be off before Trog docks my non-existent pay-check."

And with that Zee hops up and heads for the door.

She'll be out of here unless she runs into a non-dead timed PC within the next RL 10 minutes or so.

Misaki #2 leaves GLoG and heads outside!

But Misaki #2! It's such a long walk. Long... long... walk. A month! If you know where you're going!

The portal wasn't for convenience, it was almost a necessity. Shame they shut it down.

Mainframe watches and Does Not Approve. Butler is going to a bad place. An unsafe place. If the enemy should bring harm to him....

No, Mainframe knows nothing of "Adam". Mainframe is worried because Butler is going to the place where the Alek/Czer/Lake analogue popped out.

Using the MagSat feed (after a player check for permission), Mainframe watches Butler during his travels.

The Mainframe gets a free porn show between Butler and three catgirls in the back of a moving car.

Everything seems alright. When they arrive, Butler goes to the Main Building and enters it.

Mainframe helpfully classifies it as research into catperson mating rituals and flags it for Magtok's attention.

Unless the driver is partaking in activities. Then it might intervene and bring the road trip to a stop somehow. But hopefully there was a computer driver.

Mainframe also does not approve of Misaki 2's wandering out unsupervised, and sends a drone to follow her, along with the eyes in the sky.

The driver does not partake in the activities. At least until a pit stop where they switch drivers.

Just think! Magtok gets this live all the time now! Congrats, Mag, you've got the world on your television screen and it's pulling the curtain on you.

Helen, still as the 12-year-old-girl, is lying on the Love Sac, no longer reading a letter.


Eklipso...is still in the Rosy Garden.

Quinn emerges from the Infirmary, heading for the kitchen!


Brendan is in the Training Room, practicing his shooting.

Daisuke sees Quinn, and heads over. Hello, Quinn. How are you?

Helen gets hungry and walks towards the kitchen, to open the fridge and look at what's in it.

Huh...

Seems as though one of those snakes that Zee is made of was left behind.

The critter is bright sapphire blue, smallish, and curled up atop one of the counters fast asleep. Regardless of whether or not poking a deadly venomous viper to wake it up could be considered a wise course of action, it'll be there until someone pokes it.

Or Zee returns for her.

The girl with freckles and pigtails sees the beautifully blue snake on the counter, and wonders what it's there for.

So she pokes it. Poke, poke. Maybe it'll wake up or something.

Quinn gets intercepted by Daisuke!

"Oh, hey! You're back!" The VERY pregnant paladin/telepath smiles broadly. "Welcome back. How was your adventure?"

Not so much an adventure and more just a visit back home with Val.

Abigail tells me Misaki's back?

Oh, and how long until the baby comes?

The smallish snakes suddenly jolts awake with a teeny little "Bwah!" upon being poked. Thankfully she doesn't nip the offending finger. That venom of hers can cause lethal degrees of flesh-melting.

Yuck.

Once she manages to focus on the poker, however, the snake brightens considerably. Even smiles.

Which is weird. Because snakes can't normally make human-like facial expressions.

"Oh! Hi again! I must have dozed off up here, huh?"

Oh, yeah, probably.
Wait, what? I haven't talked to a snake lately. Helen says. "Hi again"?

But why would you fall asleep on the counter? she asks the smiling snake.

"Within the week," Quinn answers Daisuke's last question first, blushing happily. "It was supposed to be Christmas, but I guess I channeled too much positive energy...


...oh, speaking of Abigail, Misaki and Val....err....have the girls talked to you about their plans yet?"

...what plans? You mean Misaki and Abigail?

Ashna is sitting on a sofa near the fireplace, finishing a small book.

Quinn nods, a small smile playing on her lips. "I have it on good authority they have your and Val's wedding planned down to the last jot and tittle."
