    @Ghrem: Evasion does not apply, but you passed.

    a great distance east, all the way to the east wall, with dizzying speed. You see Theda's animal companion bouncing around the vortex of air with you.

    Consequences of being aloft:
    1) Cannot move, except to try to escape, or to travel wherever this thing wants. Freedom of movement will negate this, but you may not use land movement to get out, as you are not touching the ground.

    2) If you have the capability to fly, you get another Reflex save at the beginning of each of your turns. You will take 4d6 damage, regardless of the save. However, if you pass, you may choose to leave the vortex, even if you don't have FoM active.

    3) In order to cast a spell, you must make a concentration check (DC 20+Spell Level)

    4) You have a -4 Dex penalty and a -2 to attack rolls while in the whirlwind.

    5) Other non-movement, non spell actions are unaffected.


    Elemental Monolith's turn is over. Play continues with Seto.

    Similarly, I don't see any indication that a whirlwind form is immune to blindsight (Terry had 120' blindsight active, and Theda still has 60' blindsight active) - can we get a sense of where the elemental appeared? Also, is the hallway now clear of fog?

    The Monolith is a result of Summon Elemental Monolith. (only legal way to use it, as the creature is summoned by a SPC spell, even though it's not Core+SPC)

    It came from the intersection ahead. It rounded the corner from the right.

    The hallway is not clear of wind (Fog created by guards and wards isn't listed as being dispersed by wind. Dispel effects can end 1 part of the spell. MDJ can bring the whole thing down.)

    The Monolith did pass through you while in whirlwind form.

    The monolith was evidently the source of the loud wind sound, as the roaring wind sound is now coming from the east. Ahead is deathly quiet.

    @Stormrage: Just reread the wind section. Fair enough. You are undamaged and able to maintain position with the group.

    On a side note: If you have a buff that you believe helpful in a situation, please bring it to my attention. I do miss things from time to time, and am happy to clarify if further information is needed or warranted.

    Result of Seto's listen check:

    Treating the elemental/animal companion as a battle (DC -10 to hear). With a result of 11, and a need to beat the check by 20 to pinpoint, you could pinpoint it if it were less than 20 feet away.

    Unfortunately, it is well over that, at least 80 feet, maybe as far away as 150 feet, to the east. So you hear it, but cannot pinpoint.

    There'd be a circumstance penalty, based on the fact that Terry can't obtain any visual, auditory, or olfactory clues from you. It'd likely be a rather hefty penalty. I'm thinking, in the neighborhood of -5 to -10.

    Then again, he's only 90 feet from his handler, who CAN be heard.

    Theda is startled but relieved that the wind stops abruptly. She takes off down the hallway, calling out to Terry1 to stay put. Upon reaching him, she casts Shapechange on him, and tries to reorient herself as they return to regroup with the others.

    As far as I see it, Seto, Theda and Terry are near the east end of the east passage. The rest of use are about halfway the west passage. The good thing is you should have a clear "view" of the north and south.

    Each block on the map is a 10x10 square.
    As previously noted, each hallway PC's are on is at about a 30 degree decline, with the central room being the high point. The hallway on the east side (that Theda and Terry are near) is also angled downward at a 30 degree angle to the south (level to the north).

    Note: No form of blindsight possessed by the party extends between the two groups (as they are 130 feet apart). As such, there is no way to see each other.

    Note2: Seto and Torvin are not visible to any sense short of true seeing, which is limited to 5 feet of effectiveness.

    Ghrem will make a listen check to hear anything now that the elemental is gone.

    As this will probably be enough to hear where the rest of the party is; Ghrem will tell Kagrenac and Torvin that we should move east to join up with them.

    While waiting for the the others to join up, Terry shapechanges into an Yrthak again, and Theda shapechanges into a storm giant. Both regain 20 hit points. They move into the intersection (note that this is not a left/right decision, but a decision to step into the intersection).
