I don't know brands too well 'cause I go to a tea shop what buys direct and sells in bulk.
For a non-flavoured tea, I urge you to seek out a single-estate Darjeeling. The delicacy of a pure Darjeeling cannot be usurped nor surpassed.
For a flavoured tea, there's one he has called yoga -- both as an herbal and a flavoured black tea. Interesting, hard to describe, delicious.

I'm really partial to the flavour of real licorice root. Whereas black licorice candy generally has that very green fennel seed type of licorice flavour, the warm slow-burning golden-orange sweetness of real licorice is unique. This yoga definitely has some real licorice in the mix.
Edit Actually just licorice root makes a delicious tea that will leave a sweet taste in your throat for hours.

If you like cream and sugar/honey, then an Assam tea has a very bold flavour that comes through beautifully through the additions.

Psh, you kids and your 10 hearts.

Depends if she ends up grading on a curve or not. A raw 86% is either B or B+. If she curves it I could quite possibly get an A (although one other girl in our class aced it so I dunno).

In any case, I'm glad it's over, grades don't matter that much, and I have just one more final to study (or not . . . ) for, and then I'm done.

Mr. Scruff makes genuinely very nice tea. Considering he is primarily an electronic-musical 'discjockey' this is quite suprising.

Also: mmm. New DVDs. Blade Runner, There will be blood and the Good, the Bad, and the Weird. Delicious.

    I hope that's right.

I've been tempted by Darjeeling tea, but what's a single estate Darjeeling? Yoga tea? It does sound tempting, but seeing as I tend to buy from shops mostly it might be hard to track down. I mean there is a tea specialist in town who deals entirely in loose leaf teas (hibiscus, jasmine and blackcurrant; assam, dozens of types from everywhere from Iraq to China and even Argentina I think I saw once; but it's expensive.
I can't stand the taste of licorice, but I've only ever had the sweets rather than the tea, so that's just the one type.
Assam now. Oh, I've always been tempted by that. ANd we do have honey around smewhere. Never had it with tea though, so that's another experiment to try.

Lady Grey combines citrus with Lord Grey. And it's my favourite tea so far. And then plunder your dad's teas. That way you won't have to buy a lot of tea only to decide "No, this isn't my thing." and have to chuck it.

Thanks. Makin' me feel better. I've just been one of those overachieving straight-As-all-the-time weirdos my whole life, you know? Feels weird to be happy with Bs.

Yeah, I got an A on the midterm in the class for which I should be studying, so I'm not all that concerned, since I didn't work that hard for THAT one, either. It's something like 1/6 fill-in-the-blank, 1/6 fill-in-the-map-correctly, 2/3 identifying texts and their significance. It's all just an idiotic exercise to make sure we did the readings. In fact, that's pretty much what every assignment in this class has been - up to and including four essays for which you were guaranteed a high B or A if you 1) inserted as many quotes and citations as possible (at least twenty), 2) eschewed all use of the verb "to be" (for some reason he doesn't like it - thinks that it makes a sentence stative instead of analytical. Whatever), and 3) eliminated passive voice as much as possible.

    Whu'-ba'-what?
Why do quotations and citations get you such a high grade? They only show that you've done further or wider reading and have found things to back up your argument. They themselves should have no impact on how high your grade is in relation to number of quotations/citations used.
    Also: huh?
Also: what's wrong with the passive voice? It's a useful little contruction at times. Plus if you use it successfully in a foreign language exam (i.e. French or Spanish) you get loads of marks for it.

It looks like a fairly easy exam, so don't really revise for it. Check over a map or two, read a book. The rest is logic really.

    EDIT:
ANd don't worry, I'm one of those overachieving-straight-A-weirdos too. Except in Math. And A Level French - very hard to get As in [insert oreign language]. And really, if it was lower than a B I'd say vexation and annoyance ye, but for what'll turn out to be a B+, why worry?

Sometime, when I didn't notice, I passed the one post per day ratio. Thanks RB!
Step 1: Get workers to make goods for you.
Step 2: Sell the goods for a higher amount than what you pay the workers.
    Step 3: ???
    Step 4: Profit!

Thanks to Mortugg for my current avatar, and for this steampunk version:

    I'm DONE! With school!

Bleh. I will probably end up getting a high C in maths, a high B in biology and American history, and either a high B or an A in writing.

...This will be my first year not getting straight A's in everything. I even got straight A's (unadjusted) when I was studying everything in native-level Chinese. So why do I seem to be incapable of getting an A in my primary (though admittedly not first) language?!

But all in all, it's very nice to be done with school.

    Congratulations!

News from me: I'm sick, and I got braces. Yay for feeling terrible, and having a mouth full of cuts.

Because Math and Science! is unnecessary.
American history . . . from what I've heard it's only three hundred odd years, maybe it was boring you hence the less focus?

Anywho, English and the humanities are the best! ANd I don't just say that because of my status as Goddess of the Written Word.
    Woo!
    English is amazing! And History!

    Hmm. HMMM.

You weirdo freaks. You obviously never had teachers that steadfastly refused to give anything but absolute perfection an A. You don't know yer born!

In other news: I have come into the possession of my very first hoodie. I think I may now be 'Yoof' and/or 'Street'. I think that is the case.
