There's that famous "Secret Nuclear Bunker" one which is pretty funny. I think it went viral a few years back.

Re: Funniest signs
On a hike I saw a sign saying "Trail Closed." In was posted on the last foot or so of the trail- before it dropped off a cliff into the ocean.
Then there's the sign I drove past for the Free Will Baptist Church. Someone had spray-painted a y at the end of the second word.Last edited by Cyrion; 2010-01-25 at 10:52 AM.

Re: Funniest signs
Go to engrish.com for a good laugh. The signs make sense (usually) in Japanese (or Chinese in some cases) but the horrible translations are priceless. Near where I live, actually in the same housing block, we have signs that don't have English translations, but would essentially translate thusly: "Protect the environment; love the grass". That's not even one of the more amusing ones I've seen, but I like it for the multiple possible interpretations and the fact that it's not enough to "keep off the grass", but you've got to, got to love it.
Or the signs that are now cropping up in men's urinals in Shanghai. "One small step forward for man, one giant step forward for civilization". Basically a sign intended to get men to actually get their water in the pot instead of on the floor, which is sadly necessary even if all too often completely ignored. I find it funny in a sad way, if that counts.I used to live in a world of terrible beauty, and then the beauty left.

A fireworks place near my house had "Even Creationists can appreciate a Big Bang!".
Now they have "Celebrate the New Year by blowing !@#$ up!"The Hypnotoad made me do it!

Do not touch the edges of this sign!

Pretty sure that's what the sign read; I saw it on some website somewhere.Last edited by Derjuin; 2010-01-24 at 09:08 PM.
