Charity opens her eyes to see Memzee standing over her. "What... what happened? Tyril didn't find you?" The corrupted life shaping power starts going into her, and she winces in discomfort. She tries to grab Memzee's wrist and push her hand away, but her strength is so feeble that it has no chance of success.

"No... stop..." Whether the words get through or not, the fact that her nails are starting to grow longer into pointed claws might.

"Tyril found me, just like you asked her too," Memzee replies, a weak smile crossing her face. "We... tried to cure me. The amulet didn't work though. I'm not sure why, but I have a few ideas. Though I did get a mithril ring that will protect me from Maelly's control."

When Charity first begins to struggle Memzee frowns and tries to hush her reassuringly. "Sshh... It's okay. I know it feels really strange. Just try to relax and you'll be back up on your feet in no-"

Then she feels the claws.

And backpedals away in horror, dropping onto her bed with eyes wide. "Oh no I- Charity, I wasn't trying to... I was trying to do that to you! I'm sorry!"

She sounds honestly surprised. And terrified. Bites her lip as her gaze falls to the floor. "I... I could try undoing what I did, but I have the sinking feeling that would just make it worse..."

[Shadowcaller]

Zubera walks around in the building, curious about everything inside of here. Then she turns to Memzee, her eyes widen, she appears really intrested in her.

"Ohhh!"

Zubera walks up to Memzee, her eyes burning with practically burning with excitement.

"Hi!" She exclaims, trying to get Memzee's attention.

Charity is exhausted from the exertion of raising her hand and being subjected to life shaping. She looks up at Zee with an expression of... fear? sorrow? lust?

It's really hard to tell with the skin on her face hanging loose like that. Screws up all the facial signaling. It's possible the expression says 'my left elbow is really itchy right now'.

She breathes heavily and closes her eyes.

((And as Shadowcaller has to deadtime now, he asked if we could deadtime Memzee and Charity for him until tomorrow. Is that okay with you, Rebo?))

Memzee sighs rather dejectedly as Charity once more slips away into unconsciousness. She had managed to make the situation worse. Isn't that just wonderful?

The demoness certainly doesn't seem to think so.

But wait!

What's this?

Some young woman has bounced cheerfully into the room! And the nurse didn't act all grumpy at her, either.

"Eerr... hello there?" she replies hesitantly.

[McBish]

[Where the Refugees are.]

Angie walks into the base with a fur lined cloak looking around and finding the people who got teleported here from Inside. She finds them and starts talking to them asking them how they are doing. Asking things about their homes and if they have started to rebuild their homes yet. And starting to figure out how to get more people to help with the rebuilding process.

Meanwhile Keri finishes up her bow work, having pushed herself longer and harder then what she normally does. She sighs when she is done, and starts to wander around the grounds.

Quinn undeadtimes.

Spots Memzee...

And glares...

"What are you doing to her?" she snaps, waving at Charity.

...oh dear. She doesn't recognise Zee...

Angie keeps talking with the NPC's making plans to help them with their rebuilding process.

Meanwhile Keri gets up and thinks about going to go visit the city. She starts to walk in that direction.

Keri might encounter Shrike and Zamira returning to GLoG...

The redheaded troubleshooter/Solar looking like she wants you to know she's feeling very depressed.

Zamira also doesn't look the best. Mainly because when Shrike's like this...

Yep Zaira and Shrike should see a 14 year old girl with a bow on her back heading into the city. She steps to the side of the street as they approach to get out of their way. She fights off the urge to run into the woods and hide till they are gone. She notices the depressed Shrike but not knowing her doesn't say anything.

Shrike notices Kari, and gives her a slight nod of greeting/acknowledgement, but doesn't look like she intends to stop unless addressed.

Same with Zamira. She simply looks depressed as well.

[McBish]

Keri wonders what has made them so depressed but isn't about to butt into the life of people she doesn't know without good reason. So she keeps walking.

That's probably not too much of a surprise.

Memzee presently looks more demon-y than human-y. It wouldn't be that hard to mistake her for something totally unrelated to Zee. But then, it wouldn't be hard to notice a few striking similarities as well.

She had long since moved away from Charity, settling down into her bed to let her bandaged gunshot wounds slowly knit. She's rather surprised when she hears a familiar voice accost her just as she had begun to doze off.

Winces.

Curls up a bit.

"I was just trying to help..."

[Infirmary]

Quinn starts to say something...then realises what she's hearing...

"...Avatar? Oh gods, I'm sorry...."
She hurries over to her friend. "What happened to you?" she asks, sounding very different then she did before. Now very concerned.

[Road]

And so two ships pass in the night...

Shrike will head straight to their curtained-off private area once reaching the main lodge.

And Zamira heads there too!

Shrike... I'm so sorry...

[Room]

Shrike drops onto the bed, and puts her face in her hands again.
"Thanks. Not your fault though..."
Right now her thoughts are running along the lines of 'I gave it all up for her...and she just leaves...'

Zamira goes to hug her.

"It's true," Charity mumbles, in defense of Memzee saying she was just trying to help. But she drifts off again.

Shrike is hugged!
And hugs back after a moment, feeling, once again, confused, torn, and overall in need of hugging.

...something she'd fiercely deny if ever questioned, of course.

Quinn looks in Charity's direction, nods slowly, then turns back to Memzee...

Zamira is perfectly happy to provide needed hugging.

The demoness shakes her head as a name is uttered.

"No... I'm not Avatar. I'm not even Zee," with a sigh she turns over in the bed, glancing up at Quinn. She had removed that armor of hers after covering up in the sheets. Probably because sleeping in the stuff is uncomfortable. The black carapace just liquefied and melted into her spine, leaving behind a small choker with the starry black onxy attached to it.

She was technically naked previously, armor being part of her. Though it had still kept her decent. Though at this point... The demoness is naked in a more literal sense.

Assuming you don't count the collar.

She doesn't seem to notice. Someone might want to point it out to her.

"I'm what you get when Zee is given an amulet of demonic corruption. I'm Memzee. And I'm starting to wonder if I can do anything good..."

Quinn's eyes go wide...and she blushes a little too.
"Um...it seems your dress sense was the first to go..." she says lamely. "And...you're not serious, are you? I mean..."
She trails off, then goes to hug her friend!
Seeing as Quinn has the paladin/Champion of Neirian thing going, this might or might not be uncomfortable for the poor demoness.

Who might or might not also note that Quinn's Far-taint is gone.

And also might or might notice the curious 2-year-old watching from a playpen across the room.

"I don't know what to do now..." Shrike whispers, not letting go of the hug.

"...how?" Shrike says quietly, too upset to figure out Zamira's ulterior motive.

Zamira simply hugs her. We'll work it out together.

That's what we've always done, isn't it?

Shrike nods, managing to smile a little. "Yeah. You're right, I guess. Thanks...."

Memzee has no more of an ability to sense Far-taint than any other person would. Need Avatar for that. And right now the feather-head is busy bothering a new person over at Taverna.

What's that?

You were sure he was a fox before?

Bah, that chimera is many things.

Anywho... At the mention of fashion sense Memzee looks down at herself in a rather puzzled fashion. Stares. Blinks... Nope. She isn't making the connection. She's been naked ever since she turned. Hasn't clicked that there's anything wrong.

Then she gets hugged!

"Bwah!" didn't see that one coming. Rather hesitantly she puts her arms around the paladin lady. "I'm not kidding. The person I was before is dead. And... I think I'll miss her."

Zamira looks at her. What do you want to do?
