Also, why do they have to be forces of destruction, all the time?

The Rokubi, for example, is based of the japanese legendary creature Raijū.

Which is specifically described by Wikipedia as being 'generally calm and harmless'.

The problem is during thunderstorms it become agitated, which I've interpreted in the RP to mean the Rokubi goes into a berserk rage during battles.

...Because they're 20-story tall creatures that can shoot beams of destruction out their mouths, and otherwise cause massive havoc by moving anywhere?

I mean, I've yet to see proof from canon that they aren't destructive creatures.

I've seen proof that they can perhaps mellow out, but that likely takes years.

And since it was Killerbee, it may have been his raw awesome that changed the 8-tails.

I'm just not sure about making them nice friendly creatures that are all helpful and stuff.

If they were like that, why do they end up sealed in peoples' stomachs?

Perhaps, but we've only really seen 3 of the Tailed Beasts. Shukaku was, admittedly, a jerk, and the 9 Tails is deadly, but the 8 Tailed Ox is questionable.

They don't have to be friendly all the time, per se. Maybe Matsu's Tailed Beast is completing the test for the sake of pride, and wants to rub Matu's relative ignorance/lack of test taking skills in his face for the lulz. Note that Moon Wolf didn't post Gobi as being, "Oh, you're having trouble? Aww, let me help you with that...", but instead, "Ha! This stuff's easy! You loser, let me show you how it's done." Or, at least, that's how I interpret the post.

As far as I can tell, in the canon manga a Host who is on good terms with his/her Tailed Beast and has learned how to cooperate with it for extra power doesn't really seem to have too many downsides. Killer Bee, for example: in the manga, the only negative side effect of having the 8 Tailed Beast inside of him seems to be that now he has a straight man to play jokes off of. There's no mention of mind consumption or physical degradation, and Killer Bee and Nii Yugito don't have social problems either. So in the manga, a well-trained Tailed Beast Host has all the upsides and very few of the downsides, if he's lucky enough for his society to like him.

Thus, if some of the Tailed Beasts seem like hax to you...I'm afraid that you have the manga author to blame.

I blame him for alot. Like, a whole lot. Namely dropping the ball on what -could- have been a pretty epic manga series.

I blame him for not giving us screentime for the other hosts (besides Gaara, Naruto, and Killerbee), and basically only showing them getting their asses kicked and then killed in a tortuous 3-day ritual.

I blame him for constantly teasing us about, well, "shipping". Naruto/Hinata Forever!

That said, it's not that I think the beasts are "haxx", 13. I'm just worried about them becoming too...convenient. *Shrugs*

I definitely understand your concern, but at the same time...well, having a super-powerful and ancient creature inside you, capable of sharing its power and knowledge with you, is inevitably going to have a lot of answers to a lot of problems. The only real way to prevent this in the case of the Tailed Beasts is to have them be uncooperative with their hosts.

Heck, just having another sentient mind in your head can solve a lot of problems: multi-tasking is extremely handy, especially in the world of ninja. Imagine being able to strategize on Shikamaru's level on the fly, or being able to multitask as easily as two different people.

Looking at the registry, it says that Kanaye is maybe 147 cm (4'10"), while child Momo is 123 cm.

If normal Momo is 147+15, she has the difference of 39 cm, or maybe about 1'3 inches.
So I agree She is about that much taller.

Especially the first ones; the manga doesn't indicate that any of the fake genin showed some kind of sign that they were really fake. What made Sasuke think, "Hey, that's a chuunin! I'll just use SHaringan and cheat off of him," when there was no obvious indication that it was a chuunin?

I don't think he knew the target was a chuunin.

He did know the target seemed to know what he was writing.

Remember, Ino targeted Sakura for answers. Because she was just that smart.

It's not a stretch to think they looked at these guys, took them for older, more experienced genin, and saw they knew what they were about. Thus, cheating off of them.

There wasn't any indication they were chunin - Sasuke just copied someone who looked like he knew the answers. The chunin's were randomly seeded to assure the correct answers were there at all.

Well, if one is passing the answers to their teammates, that's to be expected. But if they're cheating off of their teammates without consent...that's not so good. But I'm pretty sure that any team with a method of passing notes would do that.

Doesn't really matter whom they are copying off of, the test is a bit vague in what it actually grades. If you can answer the questions, then awesome though it usually signifies an above-Chuunin level of intelligence you're fine anyway. If not then it's grading your ability to covertly gather information.
