Crippling weakness to flying, which is doubly crippling because in gen3 both Gyarados and Salamence, who can switch into hariyama while laughing, have hidden power flying STAB coming off massive attack stats and also intimidating on the switch.

Has anyone claimed Leafeon yet? I'm seeing a lot of the other Eeveelutions here, but no Leafeon. Also, to drag something up from like, 10 pages ago, am I the only one who liked Chikorita and his evolutions? Meganium is one of my favorite starters, thought I've never been able to put my finger on why exactly that is.

Gyarados and Salamance are both in 3rd gen, as is there shared ability intimidate. The real problem with any fighting pokemon in 3rd gen is that in game, everything knows aeriel ace. Hariyama has huge HP which will help to cover for that weakness, but I recall using most anything with a flying weakness to be a huge pain in that game.

There, fixed for you. My advice is as follows, when the RNG cheats, cheat back- by using super-optimised movesets (although, with Ice Beam, Flamethrower and Thunderbolt TM's costing 10k coins each at the game corner, that might be easier said than done).

I would like to participate in this week, but I'm not sure which Pokémon to use.
I originally intended to use Leafeon, but I was beaten to the punch by DoIhaveaname? However, I haven't seen anyone use Arcanine yet, though someone posted one earlier in the thread. I might refrain from being Lucario because it is so well known due to being a playable character from SSBB. Maybe Arceus, for pure uberpowered goodness.

And here are some leaked photos of a Japanese magazine featuring a sneak peek of the advances in Black and White. From what I can see, the fifth generation will have much more 3D elements than 4th Gen.

I think I prefer the line art style, personally.

Also, Dogmantra: relax, dude. It's not like I'm saying "NO, YOU CANNOT HAVE THE SAME POKEMON AS ME. BLARG." I just think it's more fun if everyone has a unique avatar for the theme week. I'm fine with AlterForm using Xatu at the same time as me, if that's what it comes down to.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'll probably keep the Xatu in my signature, because it would be a shame to waste it. And that's assuming I get a replacement at all.

I dunno about other people, but I'd be perfectly fine using the same Pokemon as someone else as long as my avatar looks different. Having a unique avatar is for the sake of other people, so (if they recognize me), they can associate my avatar with me, and not worry about getting confused because I have the same avatar as someone else.
