Ach, that sounds great, but I'm horrible with implementing scripts. I just get worried that I'm going to massively mess something up and don't bother. Even when I was playing Counter-Strike: Source in clan wars, I didn't set item buys or anything. Yeah, I'm stupid.

However, I've gained a certain respect for the Backburner when I realised quite how much control it gave you. Pyros have 100% speed when moving forwards. Medics have 107%. Consider a Medic who gets licked by some flame from a normal pyro. He turns and runs away. He gets away. However, say that the Pyro has a Backburner. The Medic, even if he just gets brushed, won't turn around for fear of crits. If he runs backwards, he has 99% speed. The Pyro can catch up, and kill him, or if he turns around, he'll get critted. It doesn't give you as much control as the airblast, but it doesn't cost you ammo.

Not really ideal, common practice is to just pump the Pyro full of Blutsauger needles while backpeddling anyway, in which theres not just a chance of survival, but a chance you can actually kill the persuing Pyro instead of the other way round. A medic which turns his back on the Pyro is actually preferable crits or no. If Backburner had a limited airblast that could only extinguish teammates, I would use it.

I never said it was ideal, I just said I respected the psychological control . Knowing your opponents' health becomes a brilliant strategy when using the backburner. You can make people stay and attack you because they know they'll get critted if they run away.

Well, my test of SourceTV is a failure in a way, because although I got a demo file that plays, I can't get the camera to move. If anyone can tell me how to do this, it would be appreciated.

I believe we need to have a spectator ingame 'controlling' the camera, or else it's just set.

However, since it's a demo, try the control key to change view and wasd to move around.

Ya know, I saw a suggestion somewhere to fix the Backburner by giving it a sucking action to replace the airblast.
Draw people into you as it were. So people can not run away when you're behind them and you can attack from the front by dragging them straight into the flame.
I can't see anything wrong with the idea, depending on the range of the suck.

We're not sure how long before, but yes, you'll only meet three of them. Evntually there will be a L4D1 update that will show how it happened.

It does, but I think that's just because they revealed it before they announced that someone would be dead, and they still haven't told us who it is. I think they're trying to keep the surprise. They may even change the poster on P-Day.

Most of the speculation I've seen is that there is some mode where you play as the L4D1 survivors (it was confirmed that the actors were in for voice work) and that one of them has to sacrifice themselves to save the others. It would be the players' choice who died.
