I probably would join you guys, but I just realised I don't have the L4D2 Add-On support thing...and it's 1.2gb. My bandwidth is already slim this month, so I won't be joining any custom L4D2 maps any time soon, it seems.

The Highlander tournament still hasn't had sign-ups. I imagine we may have to re-evaluate the teams when sign-ups roll around.

I finally got a community item!

I now has a Homewrecker. Which is worth it to kill some one with a sledgehammer. Like say, a cloaked spy.

Realism Versus. Dead Center. Myself, Worira, my friend Deathwish, and a friend of his who only spoke French.

First three maps. 3 perfect runs. 2100 points.

Yeah, that was something. As Infected, we did pretty well. As survivors? I died in Streets to a tank. We defibbed and finished with all four.

My favourite infected moment was tied landing a fourteen damage pounce in the finale, then getting shoved off and killing the shover, and punching Coach in the back of the head six times.

Protect the VIP aka Gnome (coop, versus) -There is a gnome next to you at the beginning, carry it through the campaign, person carrying the gnome can't use weapons and the gnome attracts infected!

A couple other good ones:

• Chainsaws (coop) - Everyone starts with a Chainsaw (unlimited fuel) and a pistol (unlimited ammo), there aren't any other kinds of weapons spawning, so it's just what you have at the beginning.
• Four Swordsmen (coop) - Kinda like Chainsaws, except you start with katanas and no pistols, and there are only S.I., no Commons.
• Headshot Only (coop) - Self descriptive, commons only die with headshots.
• Last Man On Earth (singleplayer) - It's you... against the S.I. (extremely scary)
• M60s (coop) - Survivors start with only M60s (limited ammo) and a Desert Eagle, once you run out of ammo, you're screwed.
• Versus Survival (survival) - Self Descriptive, it's a lot of fun.
• Madness (coop) - There are TONS of common infected, they are VERY angry and there are no S.I., you have enough trouble as it is.
• Versus Coop (versus) - It's coop, with a twist, you play as the infected as the bots try to make it through the campaign alive

Every single time I play Versus. Unfortunately, that's more likely a list of game modes compatible with that mutation.


EDIT: I hate bots. The passing is filled with things that seem to just totally break their AI, leaving them in a confused stupor of pacing back and forth. Like SMOKER TONGUES. Or LADDERS. Or STAYING WITHIN 100 YARDS OF ME.

So, just played my first ever proper L4D2 campaign. Finished Hard Rain, was pretty fun (aside from level 2 argh witch overdose run). Despite taking the most damage, killing the second least infected and having a storm trooper-esque accuracy of 14%. Everyone survived, too, somehow, and remembered me as something other than the worst L4D player on the planet, a fact which may have something to do with saving the day by leaping off a ledge and killing a Tank with a single katana slash. Luck, I tell you.

Good fun, anyway, if rather laggy. Also, I hate Spitters. But not as much as I hate Jockeys. That laugh, gah.

I liked Hard Rain. I think my least favourite was Swamp Fever - it started well and ended well, but the middle was kinda dull.

Swamp Fever is now the only one I haven't played, although I missed a lot of The Parish thanks to dinner. I think Hard Rain is my favourite as well...

Swamp fever is fun until it breaks on the first level and says the survivors have escaped and the finale when the tank doesn't spawn.
