And the current girl I'm seeing doesn't like my beard, complaining that it's too scratchy for her... Which, to be fair, it has been scratchier for some reason the past few months.

Heh, I'm 25 and still have trouble. It's got to the point now that I can actually cultivate a reasonable beard, except for a fingertip sized bald gap just off centre on my chin. So if I grow a beard I have to keep my finger over it to not look like a prat.

The meter's a bit off in places, but here it is.

Maybe he should change the last quatrain to be about your lacking observational skills.

Funny, I made a comment on aim last night to the effect of, "Oh great, now my poem is burried by a page of random banter and she won't be able to find it."

@Sneak, as near as I can tell the meter of a sonnet is very flexible. Else the meter is "off" in almost all of Shakespear's.

To be fair, your poem was pretty random and banter-like (banterous? bantertudinous? banterian? banteresque?) itself.

Oh, and not really. Sonnets always have a meter. They're not always in pentameter, but they always have a meter. Granted, you can depart from the meter slightly if you have a valid content-related reason for doing so, but otherwise, you should generally stick to it. Otherwise, there's not really much point to having one at all.

And even if you don't have a constant meter, you should at least try to keep a constant number of feet (which you mostly did, except for the third line).

But it's really not a big deal. I don't think anyone was expecting the next coming of Shakespeare or Petrarch. You still earn my kudos.

Aw come on, the camera work wasn't that bad (aside from maybe the "lost" scene). One of the zombies gave up his whole day to be our camera man, so I feel the need to defend his work.

Superglucose, I apologize for not finding it. I did search pages, but I guess I must have left "match case" on when I used ctrl+F. It's beautiful, and deserving of a match.

I was talked about in AIM? Hopefully in a good way?

EDIT: Coidz, beard tips:

Soften it. It shows that you're willing to "change for her", lol.

Use a shampoo for oily or coarse hair on your beard.
Also, use a conditioner.

People assume conditioner is only for dry hair. Not the case.
It can keep in natural moisture so that it isn't overproduced, or something.

Steps:

Get product.
Wash beard.
Wash beard.
Condition beard, leave it in for maybe 2 whole minutes.
Rinse.
