Jacob Fischer. One of Tiltstone's top Librarians. His wife is deceased, and his daughter, Opal, is a blind human/ex-All Seeing Eye Page, saved after descending and becoming an abyssal. A mysterious man. Not much is really known about him. His age is a mystery, he appears like any middle-aged father, but rumorous legends say he's been alive for at least a hundred years. Not even he knows his own past. Anything before his wife's death is a blur. If his close friends, Taren the Painter or the recently deceased Niccolo Defaux, they haven't said anything.

But here we are, adventuring into his mysterious past. What will be encountered no one knows. But our adventure through time starts here, in Paris, France. A back alley to be exact. Long before he became a Librarian, long before he met his wife or had a child. You might me wondering how he ended up in Paris. You see, Jacob was born in a then small secluded Canadian town known as Tiltstone. Tiltstone has grown since then, becoming a large thriving city, and one of the one's with the highest page population. But not then. Back then, no one would know where you were talking about if you said Tiltstone. Jacob left Tiltstone when he was 17 to travel the world, it's indefinite how long he was traveling before he reached Paris, but that is certainly where his adventure ended.

Now as I said, he found his way in a back alley after getting mixed up with a bad group of people, who left him beaten and bloody and unconscious. The rest of the story, is to be recreated by you. Enjoy.^_^

Niccolo Defaux sat on the short stool, violin in hand. If he had learned anything about women from living in Paris, he knew that they loved romantic instruments, especially the violin and saxaphone. Niccolo wasn't very adept, but at least he could play a little.
Who knew. Today he might meet 'the one'.
He chuckles. Like that would ever happen!

Well he's visible from the streets, people are just ignoring him, cuz they know the group who did it. As they often "take care" of people who get on their bad side. So they know better than to help him.

Ah, he lives! Can you stand? Damn, they beat you good didn't they? What you do, try to steal one of their girlfriends? Niccolo smiles and chuckles

Well welcome to Paris, city of romance that is sporadicly threaded with being beaten senseless.

Elizabeth is watching the exchange in bat form in one of the more shady areas of the alley. The man was talking with a lunar. A lunar. Vile creatures. Most of them didn't deserve a second glance. Hell, some didn't even deserve a first. She silently watches them, her mental clock ticking.

Yes. He's been a Lunar for 6 years at this point, and he is currently 22.

Young for a Librarian. I guess congratulations are in order. Let's go get some food. Niccolo literally drags the Librarian down the alleyway out to the street, and down to a cafe if he does not fight back.

As soon as the lunar and the librarian leave, Elizabeth's polymorph spell times out and she falls two feet to the ground. "That couldn't have been closer." She mutters, pulling the hood up on her black cloak and walking into the street to follow the two.

Misk is in the cafe, sipping some coffee and eating a bagette.

I am young. That's why I'm not assigned anywhere and I travel where I please.

Well I suppose that's alright. Niccolo drags the Librarian to a table and shouts at a waiter.
<Can we get a plate of crepes over here?>
Does Jacob know any French at this point?

Yeah. He thoroughly learns about a country before heading there. He's not amazing at French, but he can speak enough.

Elizabeth walks up to the counter of the cafe. "<Tall coffee please.>" She says to the cashier, handing over the money. To all unawakened humans, her cloak looks like a dark hoodie and a long skirt.

((To all of you who don't know, tall means small in coffee talk.))

Jacob sees Elizabeth.
Look at that sanguine over there. Are Pages common here?

Niccolo glances up and sees Elizabeth as the crepes arrive.
<Thank you very much> he says to the waiter

So, Jacob. How long have you been in Paris?

"<Thank you.>" Elizabeth says to the cashier, taking her coffee and sitting at a table in the corner. She takes out a vial of dark red liquid and pours some in her coffee. Then she resumes people watching.

About two weeks now. I've slept out on the streets most nights.

Tasgall glances up from his meal, seated in the back corner, as he hears Niccolo and Jacob come in. Or to be more precise he uses his abilities to treat turns as if they were strait to see who is coming in, finding it best to not seem to interested. Hmm, a lunar, and by the look in his eyes a Librarian he thinks to himself. A few moments later he notices Elizabeth come in and makes a mental note of the Sanguine. Well, this is quite the busy day for Pages to come in here.

Having finished his croque monsieur, he catches the waitresses atention as she walks by. Coming over she feels somewhat unsettled due to his nature, but can't quite place why herself.
"<A refill please,>" he gestures to his empty glass, "<and the bill.>"

"<Right away sir,>" she replies hurrying away, to fulfil his request, but also to get away from the disturbing feeling.
