((Sorry guys, I will have to be afc until Friday or Thursday evening at the earliest. Cyrus, would you want to handle that? Basically V wants to cleanse the vine thing with extreme prejudice first, then possibly reason with the spirit, and only then wonder what exactly that thing was. However, since I don't think he has a lot of GPs to spare for the spell that allows him to commune with lesser spirits, he may have to rely on more mundane method for phase 2, if he knows of such. Afterwards, he will probably rejoin the others, for a time, and maybe walk around a bit when Shimikawa comes back. His stats are at http://www.rpgwebprofiler.net/view.php?id=30178))

The group doesn't notice too much, just that V seems occupied with a particular point in the river. He backs up suddenly and begins to what looks like cast a spell. Suddenly two water elementals come into being and move towards the river.

Ikeira moves to investigate why vrishma would need to summon elementals.

Chion will stand and look over to where Ikeira is moving to.

Masaya's still relaxing, with his eyes closed, not seeing a thing.

Ikeira, as you move closer you notice that there is something moving in the water where V has his full attention. You notice that the elementals are moving towards whatever is moving in the water. Chion, you see Ikeira moving towards V.

Chion will stride over the rest of the group. "The fishing cannot be this interesting Heiman ? What are you two doing ?."Chion will say sternly.

Vrishma doesn't even look aside as he ponders his next move. He is out of the thing's reach, but is not sure if the water spirits could defeat it on their own. It were not urgent, so far it were not, yet I could not leave it be. My homage to Old Man River I pay, I do, and this abomination I will not leave be. he mutters darkly.

Wordlessly after enough of the party seems to be flocking to the shaman, the ronin-ko hastens also, however, she seems to leave a respectable distance between herself and the others comming to Vrishma's aide.

The vines still slowly approach.

ikeira casts earthbolt and slams an opposing element into the water immersed vampiric vines.

Chion will head back to the fire and watch the two figures in the distance.

Vrishma is out of the water, and he readies his mace. He follows the elementals' movements, trying to gauge how effective they will be. ((Cyrus, since he's not commanding them further than "destroy that" do you want to take over their tactics?))

((Vrishma is lvl 5, unless something very important popped up. I think we started at 5, and iirc there has not been any XP gain so far. BTW, for dice I use invisiblecastle.com))

The earthbolt goes crashing towards the vines and deals 24 damage to them. The vines shudder and go limp. The earth trembles. From the middle of the river rears this giant plant like thing, with eight vines shaking every which way. The two vines that were hit have gone in close to the monsters body, and hold the body which Vrishma saw earlier. Two blood red eyes sit atop the plant like creature (which stands at about 10 feet) and it sits in the river staring balefully at the party.
