    19 - Masumi
    12 - Vrishma
    10 - Chion
    9 - Ikeira
    6 - Masaya
    5 - Terrible Beastie

Masaya charges the monster, flickering out of sight as he does so.
    vs flat-footed - (d20+11)[18]
    base damage - (d10+3)[11]
    iajitsu focus - (d20+6)[20]

This assumes that the creature can't see invisble attackers.

Chion will repeat he attack attck again springing forward to slash at the creature. He will seem to spin the naginata faster in great whirls to protect himself from the questing tentacles. He will stand resolutely in front of the creature no longer retreating or giving ground.

(OOC: I figured out the mistake in why I was getting two attacks, but if you're still willing to lemme have them both, is fine (either way as both missed last time it's kinda moot, but...))

    attack #1 (1d20+6=22)
    damage #1 (1d10+4=8)
    iajutsu focus (1d20+4=11)

(What pisses me off though is I was one away from a crit thanks to a Keen edge)

Holding the magnificent katana low and pointing behind her the ronin pauses momentarily to give focus to force and in an upwards arc the katana swings, cutting both the river's flow AND the monster in a near perfect move as liquid both natural and unnatural splatters everywhere. Masumi keeps a poker face but you can't help but feel she has a grim satisfaction from all of this.

The vines begin to writhe in a more agitated fashion, and you all see a dead body fall out of the bottom of the mass of vines. The body has many old puncture wounds all over, and it appears dessicated. The beastie lashes out at the nearest person (Masumi)

    Attack 1 - 25
    Attack 2 - 11
    Attack 3 - 22
    Attack 4 - 13

    Vrishma

((Cyrus, let me know if you want me to roll for the elementals))

Seeing how the samurai-ko may end up in trouble, Vrishma "Pruf"s in anger and his tail lashes against the ground as he clenches his fists. He takes up his mace again (move action) and roars a call to the spirits of his ancestors, summoning their vengeance against the predatory abomination as he wades to the creature and aims for a blow (move action: close in).

(Holy crap, a crit!!! Withough even adding in the area bonuses... And the confirm:confirm (1d20+6=23) YES!! It's a crit!! Keen enchantments are the best investments ever!!)
    1d20+4=11And here's the Iajutsu Focus)

Masumi seems to take deep umbridge at being handled by the vines and once she drops back into the water she rebounds and leaps up into the air and with an over the shoulder swing with both hands on her sword that bites deep and clean when it frees itself from the other side in a milisecond, moving so fast it's almost hard to see that she even hit as she splashes back down...

    damage (1d10+5=6)
(so I guess that means she dealt 12 damage all in all)

((uh, we should name the rounds. I'm getting confused... do I go now or is it just the elementals?))

Anyway, as an addition to the previous post, when our shaman most bravely charged the monster (ugh, he deserves an int penalty for that. Shame on you, mate! Freaking out like that!), the water spirits, almost indistinguishable from the river, swelled with power as they tore into the creature.
((Prayer and water mastery included, also I presume they've gotten far enough to be flanking it))
    Water elemental 1:Attack 9, damage 8
    Water elemental 2:Attack 19, damage 6

(ok, so elementals should last for 3 more rounds, prayer for 4)

Masaya's attack barely misses. The second water elemental does some damage as well. Masumi just lays into the terrible beastie.

More vines fall off and two more bodies fall out of the bottome of the monster. It loses its grip on the body it was protecting and goes for an all out attack, again on Masumi.

    ((Wince, crit failure))

It swings two vines as Masumi, but the vines end up getting entangled with each other.

    Attack: 2+7=9

The massive beast quivers greatly, and then collapses after more of an assault from Chion and the elementals. Vrishma misses with his attack. The three corpses that dropped out of the bottom of the beast have gotten up and shakily make their ways towards the group, arms stretching towards you all. They are quite clearly dead, yet they are walking...

    Vrishma

((elementals should be there for 2 more turns, counting this one, prayer for 3...))

Vrishma looks at the corpses with a bit of incredulity before composing himself. He puts his weapon down ((darn, I should have gotten the prehensile tail feat)) and his brow clears as he begins intoning a sacred mantra of purification. At its end, he takes out a small gong and rings it once, and a wave of energy seems to travel with the sound.

    Turning undead:
    - Turning level check:1d20+4=20 (Maximum HD (5+3)=8]
    - Turning damage:2d6+5+4= 17 (Woot!)

If any of the zombies is destroyed, the elementals would gank on the other one(s), trying to flank. If not, I guess they'd attack whichever is closest to the particular elemental. I'm not including the flanking bonus, as I don't know how the roll goes and hence if they'll be flanking.

    Elemental 1: Attack 13, Damage 10
    Elemental 2: Attack 9, Damage 7
