"Just a minute, now" Audric replies. He shots another glance to the cat, obviously thinking it over, but while saying that he takes a couple menacing steps towards Antal - if they have to stage an argument, might as well make it convincing "If she trusts you, like you said, isn't it better if we take the subtle approach, instead of me kicking down her door and butchering anyone there?" he keeps his voice down, and keeps his posture consciously threatening, as if he's trying to pump the halfling for information.

((Please tell me if I have to make bluff checks, for the gestural act))

Antal and Audric appear to be arguing quietly a short ways away from you. Audric looks a bit as if he's trying to interrogate the halfling.

Rana: Audric's faking the interrogation. And quite possibly the argument.

Rana casually walks over towards the two of them, calling Shadow as she does so. Once she gets within earshot (if she isn't already), she listens in to the conversation/interrogation.

There's no time to debate this, paladin. Your approach has inherent risks I'm not willing to take, at least not yet. If you don't do something soon, then I guess no one will.

Audric sets his jaw. "Very well, let's do it your way. Damn it." he couldn't care less that he's swearing. He advances another step towards Antal "Send. The others. After me." he enunciates, very clearly. He grimaces in distaste, then does as Antal suggested, hitting him in the most convincing way he can manage.

Damage. Since Antal's letting you hit him, an attack roll isn't necessary. Just normal fist damage, 1d3+Str modifier nonlethal.

Rana, assuming that if Audric is faking this there must be someone watching, tries to figure out who the observer is, preferably without being obvious. Spot (1d20+8)[11], Listen (1d20+8)[21].

Rowan: Audric and Antal are faking some sort of argument in the corner. There's a large fluffy white cat watching all this. You could swear it can understand what you are saying.

Audric punches Antal in the face, knocking the halfling a couple steps back. Antal falls over. Obviously it was a very hard punch.

[Jallorn]

That hurt! cries Antal, genuinely shocked.

Audric resists the tentation to mutter "sorry", and just gives the halfling a meaningful glance, turning on his heels and striding away, to go looking for the cat's master.

Llaars stands from his seat he'd taken overseeing the alley. "Man, I never expected ya'll'd start fightin' over a talkin' cat. Better go make sure the paladin doesn't go get himself killed." He follows Audric while sending a sad glance toward Antal.
