Gold's atomic number is 79. That's the number of protons in the nucleus. Another bit to support Australium == Gold is that Gold's symbol is "Au".

There are 100 GW's to be dropped, and the Engi update won't release until they all have. However, there will be one more step! In order to garner the massive amounts of resources required to fabricate his new toys, the Engineer will require gold to sell. Lots of it. So much, in fact, that he will require every person who acquired a GW to sacrifice it. Only once all 100 GW's have been smelted down (quite possibly at the urging of the community at large) can the Engineer Update be fully released.
