I thought we were turning off the reserved slots on the main server?

Having it taunt me at 23/24 with 'SERVER FULL' and not getting the chance to retry joining is beginning to get my goat.

Happened to me yesterday, and then later on all 24 slots were filled again.

Potato, I'm not entirely sure you turned everything off when you turned off reservations.

They're adding stats for everything, and I won't be shocked if it becomes an all-out community update with levels and everything. It'll take time =P

Hmm. I went back and checked, and sm_reserved_slots is definitely set to 0. I've implemented a little test. Results in 10 minutes or when I next remember to check.

Yes. Weapons modeled and have stats suggested by the community.

Presumably Valve takes the suggested stats and effects into account when giving it real in-game stats and an official name.

We were promised cake weapons. They have not appeared yet. Don't know if I want to rage.

I would wait until they say something about it. Like a date or some comment about being "soon" or something. Then rage when they miss the day.

Technically, we only don't have the Polycount Packs yet. We've got multiple community weapons that were slipped into other updates: Southern Hospitality, Pain Train, Homewrecker, Crit-a-Cola, and Dalakohs Bar are the ones that I can think of right now.

Things that are fun: ninja Scout with a sandman who completely fails to attack and instead stuns people and runs away and sits on the last point of a 5CP map, and Pyro airblast battles OH GOD, there's a cliff.

And that my friend, is something that Valve will never live down; they are recognised for their film-making in almost equal proportion to their actual videogame work.

After Half-Life ends, they could make a serious profit by making a feature length movie of Half-Life or Team Fortress 2 and become a powerful new force in the film industry.

I can see it now, a new market where videogame developers develop movies to tie in with their games. Imagine, an entire generation of videogamers, young and old, being drawn to the silver-screen by the intense, heartbreaking and action packed stories of the people of City 17, or the hilarious antics and misadventures of the Team Fortress 2 team.

We all know what Valve is really capable of. Their only real competitor is Bungie, what with their plan to launch all competition into the sun using a giant catapult (read: slingshot). We can only speculate as to what Valve's ultimate plan is. This scares me.

'Join game in progress' indicates that he is in ChHa, so yes. But at the same time I don't see him in the listing, and there are a couple people that should be able to moderate the server.

What exactly got done? I noticed that he was changing his name but hl2 kept crashing my computer, so I wasn't able to deal with him. x.x
