Qualifications are just pieces of paper. Maybe it's got natural talent. Spent its days as a baby piece of software dreaming of the days when it could be a forum, practising in its room every night...

Well this is weird. Every single thread that's existed for a good while now appears as having unread messages. Yay.

Re: Several Silly Sealions Stuffed Seaweed Southward Swiftly (Or, Random Banter #143)
Well obviously. It's not just one "math" after all. It's maths, plural.
I also had a rather weird dream last night. I dreamt that Matt Smith (the 11th Doctor on Doctor Who) became the Prime Minister. Then it turned out to be a hoax by a Belgian newspaper. All this was happening on a school trip to a theme park where all we were doing was going into the sewers.BANG → !

Re: Several Silly Sealions Stuffed Seaweed Southward Swiftly (Or, Random Banter #143)
People should apply the full term whenever the word/subject is brought up in conversation. Mathematics is so much more badass.

Good BBC comedy, or best BBC comedy?
Actually, wait, there are millions of decent BBC comedies... Hmm... This requires investigation.Last edited by Player_Zero; 2010-07-19 at 08:42 AM.

Re: Several Silly Sealions Stuffed Seaweed Southward Swiftly (Or, Random Banter #143)
Hence the emoticon, my good sir :)
Also, I wasn't talking about there being a recursive acronym (where indeed there isn't one), rather there being a repeated word (or part of the word); in this case math.To see the world in a grain of sand
and Heaven in a wild flower
To hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour.

Re: Several Silly Sealions Stuffed Seaweed Southward Swiftly (Or, Random Banter #143)
Aaaaaaaawwwwwww. That's beautiful and cute.
It makes me want another cat. Our Smudge is thirteen years old now, and though I dealy want another kitten Mum says we 'shouldn't' as Smudge's too old to tolerate another kitten.
Cats are far better than dogs. Kittens are cuter than puppies unless they're those baby naked cats.
Theraputic isn't it?
You're not alone.
I actually think that it should be 'math' as when abbreviating a word you shouldn't keep extra letters.
THerefore mathematics should be abbreviated to math.
I will concede that maths shounds much nicer than math though.
ANd speaking of cats, I now want to watch a Disney film. Preferably involving cats, but I don't want to watch The Lion KIng or Basil.
I'd like to see a bit of Abraham DeLacy Guiseppe Casey Thomas O'Malley, O'Malley the Alley Cat.
But Dad's got it.
I want another cat. One, plus semi-adopting the other nine on the street just isn't enough.
Bathatar!
Squid bones are lies.
