Re: UKitP meet VII "X-mas/Winter" Sheffield 04/12/10 *UPDATE 07/10/10*
I now have a blog. Have a look if you wish. It contains those naughty profanities that you won't find here. If you like what you read send me a PM, or if you don't like it. I'd like to know how many people here read it.
Avatar done by me. If you want one then you clearly have no taste. I'll do one happily. You just have no taste.

Re: UKitP meet VII "X-mas/Winter" Sheffield 04/12/10 *UPDATE 07/10/10*
Depending on numbers, it seems likely that some people who aren't staying at mine on Saturday will come back here to play some games after we've been kicked out of The Octagon. I can't, for obvious reasons, issue an open invitation though.

Actually, I just have no idea what variety of match you may be talking about.

Re: UKitP meet VII "X-mas/Winter" Sheffield 04/12/10 *UPDATE 07/10/10*
I'll have to have a think about what the game I'll run will be but I'm going to use the Burning Wheel system to do it.
It's got some powerful social conflict resolution mechanics. And all the system parts work together to create some really good play experiences.

Re: UKitP meet VII "X-mas/Winter" Sheffield 04/12/10 *UPDATE 07/10/10*
Well... considering the nature of this meet, I was thinking some popular classic game, that no one played in long time, to give equal ground.
Doom II (95), maybe, or Duke, or something indie?
With possible publication of mini-LP later.
Assuming they would ran on modern machines, of course.

I'll chime in for Banjo's game, or Glug's, whichever gets run. If both (and at the same time), I'll go for Banjo's, as I've not played those systems before, and have wanted to for a while

How far is this place from Sheffield station? Walking distance? Buying tickets today and wondering if the PlusBus thing is worth it.

Re: UKitP meet VII "X-mas/Winter" Sheffield 04/12/10 *UPDATE 07/10/10*
The BW game I want to run should last about 4 hours max. That's way better than the 10+ hours we've had D&D last at other meet ups.
If I get 4 players the game will be about claiming a magic sword. This will probably be shorter... about 2 hours.
If I get more players (up to 8!) the game will be about the Dwarves recieving an envoy of Elven diplomats into their halls. I so want to run this!
