Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
All the threads are locales, so truth be told you could but a character anywhere. Some places are less public so it would make less sense, but if you read a thread's OP that should be obvious. As far as I know, Nexus things don't have formal structure, I don't know if the MLP ones do, and I think Bleach and RWBY does. Half-blood sort-of does.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Well, I prefer the Nexus, but if you like Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the CHB threads are pretty neat.
Half-blood has a structure for characters so that the thread runs cohesively. In the Nexus, anything goes.
As LDK said, the threads for the Nexus are all locations. in CHB, we've only RPed outside of the camp once.#27Sigatars

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I rp in the Nexus, so I can recommend it as very busy, friendly to newcomers, and very easy to make whatever kind of wacky (or srs) PC you want. The other are locales I don't have much experience with, but they tend to have more structure and an overarching theme/flavour rather than the "Anything goes!" stuff in the Nexus. How about you start by telling us what sort of rp you'd like, or what PC(s) you'd like to introduce?
My avatar! Isn't it just utterly diabolical? Ashen Lilies made it!

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I have characters in all the active RPs except the My Little Pony one and that High Seas thing (not sure what that is). I'll give you a quick breakdown:
> Nexus, as HT said, is pretty much anything goes. Whatever you can think of, as long as it isn't too OP.
> Camp Half-Blood is based around the Percy Jackson series. You can play as a demigod or a satyr.
> RWBY is based on the series of the same name which you can find here. Characters are students or teachers at an academy for Hunters (monster-killers).
> I am considering starting a Lord of the Rings RP, pending interest. If there's only a few people, I will move it to the Play by Post section (possibly recruiting new players from there too) and run it as a hybrid game with free-form mechanics but a cohesive, overarching plotline and RPG-style limitations on species, power level and so on.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I think it's funny that here's a rp of RWBY the show has only been out for a year but there are furry like things and weapons that if you think about too much it'll make your head hurt I mean holy crap that gun/scythe thing be why too heavy too yous without even thinking about all the other things that wrong about it.
I want to play a bard like character with a sinister side.
What I meant with my last post was can you help me by starting out meaning your character or whatever.
Thanks for the link but I have seen them grandDM but do you know when there starting season two?
The battle scenes are good but I still like the RvsB battles better.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I can speak for the MLP ones.
FiM still mostly runs on a free-form style like Nexus proper, and is closest to the show.
FWM is an alternate reality universe that spun out of one very creative what-if. (That is to say, what if D&D and MLP were combined. Sorta.) Currently we're gravitating towards a semi-formal DM style, though we retain most of the trappings of free-form RP.
FO:E and Bridle Shores High are currently inactive. FO:E was probably one with the most formal and structured format.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
FPF, I am not sure what you mean by your question. I've posted in about half of the threads, at one time or another, based off where my character was. And I have about 7 of those.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Well I'm going to jump in the MLP friendship was magic with a morally ambiguous guy with big plans and ties to the darker organizations...so fun.
And I'm may need to pitch a new story or wait for the chance to start a new story that may Change the setting a little or I'll die horrible so its time for me to plan and research. but first I need the finish making the character and get in it.
ugh planning means I'll have to think.

Can you be, as one character, in 2 FFRPs in the same world (ex: Nexus) at the same time? 2 different worlds?

Yes, having one PC be active in two separate threads at the same time is called "plotcloning" and is frequently used.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
I have a new idea for a FFRP-and I would like some feedback.
What I have thought of is called World of Slavery (WOS).
It is set in a world run by slaveowners and those rich enough to pay massive taxes to the king. Of course, the king himself and all who work for him are not as much slaves as workers. Since the majority of the population is in slavery or in hiding, rebellion has obviously been brewing. Though the king has eradicated most who are strong enough to oppose him, there are a few left. The oncoming rebellion would cause massive death for the slaves, and they may not even win. There will be many different slave areas, where slaveowners keep their slaves. There will also be a few populated towns full of those who can pay off massive taxes to the king. Then there is the castle itself (of course). I am still thinking and would appreciate any feedback or advice on more things to add/change. This may not be what the final thing looks like at all.Avatar made by Bradakhan| Other avatars.

Hey, I've looked around FFRP but now I'm thinking of actually playing.

At what point is it polite to poke someone asking them to come to a certain FFRP?

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Usually 24-48 hours after their last post. Some people have FFRPers have lives (strange, I know) and can only post once or twice a day. If they've missed a day of posting, especially if they've posted in other locations but not for you, it's usually safe to assume that they've forgotten and need a gentle reminder. If they haven't seemed to have posted anywhere, they might just be really busy and unable to post.

Re: FFRP Central: All players start here!
Hey guys,
I am new here in GiTP, but I do have three years of RPing under my belt.
Anyways, not the point.
I had an idea that I want to pass through you guys.
Spoiler: The Gunblade TheoryFirstly, I was wondering if anyone was interested in an RP where the Earth gets split into two equal halves, which are still loosely floating around the core. This in turn causes a sort of time difference in the two sides where one side becomes too advanced and the other stays behind in comparison.
The side that is advanced specialise in using various types of modern ranged weaponry ranging from wristbows to railguns. They are more modernised and futuristic.
The other side, however keeps to more medieval means, viz. swords, knives, longbows etc. This half is more backward than the other.
And then there are the Versatiles, people with a certain title and badge that specialise in using both kinds of weaponry and have free access to both sides.
The enemy here surfaces from the core climbing the fissure and attacking people on both sides. These creatures are known as Anti-Breeds.
The Plot here is to figure out how to get along with the other side, differences as there have arisen and to figure out how to get to the source of these Anti Breeds.
What do you think?
