Hmm. You're probably right. But what can we do about that? I'll have to take a look anyway. Probably someone in the college can give me directions. Thank you for your help.

[sazzer]

The man just shrugs his shoulders and gets back to his work

[Maethirion]

Maethirion turns and walks back to Eleuia - "Well I guess we're heading to the college then?"

He turns again and walks back out into the courtyard they had entered from

[sazzer]

As you leave the stables back into the courtyard, you see one of the soldiers from the caravans looking for you. There you are! Ms Seppo is wanting you. She's really quite cross that you decided to take off on your own when she has work to be doing. then lowering his voice slightly Between you and me, she gets angry at anyone who doesn't do exactly what she wants when she wants it. It's just how she is...

[Maethirion]

Maethirion grimaces slightly and lowers his voice. "Damn. Why do I always get stuck with the pedantic clients? Thank you for the advice. Where is she now? I suppose we had better go and report in."

He turns to Eleuia smiles slightly and whispers - "You know, as much as I hate to say I told you so..."

[sazzer]

She's inside the main college, and sent me to find you and escort you in to make sure you actually follow orders this time...

[Ella]

"Thank you." Eleuia mutters to the soldier, before turning to Maethirion "Lets head back" she suggests before turning to head back out to the Caravan.

[Maethirion]

Maethirion simply nods and follows along.

[sazzer]

The soldier heads off into the main college building, making sure that you are following him. As you enter the college itself you see narrow corridors made of what appears to be rich marble and stone. The soldier leads you to one of the towers, and up to the fourth floor into a room where Vesa Seppo is awaiting you. Thank you Emin. If you could wait outside please, with which the soldier nods and leaves the room. Now, where have you two been hiding? I hope you have a good explanation for what exactly you have been up to!

[Ella]

"Up to nothing, I'm afraid." Eleuia replies, keeping her back straight and her head held up high, no matter the trouble she might be in, it was better to accept responsibility and move forwards.

"We were just looking around, and saw very little I'm afraid."

[sazzer]

Well, don't think about doing it again. Go and see about food. I'm meeting with the Arch Mage in two hours and need to be refreshed for it.

[Maethirion]

Maethirion bows stiffly "As you wish"

"May I ask what type of meeting you have with the Arch Mage? Might we be allowed to sit in in the guise of servants or some-such? I would very much like to see such a man, and we may learn something."

[sazzer]

You are servants, at least as far as I'm concerned. No, the meeting today is just pleasantries. Tomorrow is when the negotiations will start properly

Maethirion bows again, face perfectly blank
I shall go and see to your food then
He turns and strides from the room, looking around for an actual servant.
As soon as he is out of earshot of Vesa, he hisses "Who does she think she is? Servants. Bah! I was not hired for my fetching and carrying skills. I fear for the country with her assisting with negotiations."

"I agree, completely, if I had wished to have no status, be less than those around me, I would never have left the swamps, bah." she keeps pace with him, her gowns lightness hinding her movement very little.

Chapter 2: The negotiations start

The rest of the day turned out to be fairly boring. You tend to the jobs that Ms Seppo demands of you, until you get a break in the evening when she attends the first meeting with the Arch Magi. Before this meeting she dismisses you for the rest of the day, demanding that you leave her be but that you attend her quarters at 11am sharp the next morning to prepare for the first day of negotiations proper.

After this, you manage to get some food and eventually go to bed for the night. The next morning at 9am you are woken up by the bright sunlight and the noises of the college all around you.

[Maethirion]

Maethirion sits up and yawns, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
Getting up, he stretches, and goes about his morning routine, trying to make himself presentable.
Finally, he refreshes his invocations for the day, muttering "I won't forget these again."

He sighs. "I suppose we should thrash out a strategy for dealing with Seppo. I am not spending another day doing such menial tasks."
