Incidentally, Terry, Natsuko's reaction to Karite's cowboy attitude in Episode 3 will be one of three things.

Either she warns him in no uncertain terms that a stunt like that again will lead to him looking for a new Division, or she outright kicks him out, no warning. The third option is she demotes him.

Seriously, going off like that and then turning his back on an enemy that he hadn't confirmed was dead? No way he's getting away with that with no comment.

Considering the circumstances, I actually wouldn't blame him too much for that one. xD Auset's practically tailor-made to be underestimated and she hadn't even managed to hit Karite before that, just kept coming back for more beatings.

...Course, it's up to Natsuko/you anyway, just pointing this out. XD

But...He released Bankai on her (which is a major "taking the opponent seriously" moment), then turned around and started to walk away after having lopped off an arm and a leg. Nowhere near fatal wounds.

Tactically, she might have been considered mission-killed, but even that's iffy, since he's seen she has strong regen and those bandages.

But even worse is the fact that he failed in the basic duty of cleansing a Hollow, all because he was "bored with the fight". Sounds like the attitude of an unseated, not a Vice-Captain.

Yes, Karite failed his "big damn heroes" moment big time. Since the plan was for him to be powerless for a while after the fight, removal from his duties to indefinite Absence of Leave would sound like good degree.

Oh, and I'm still partial to Seireitei timeskip being more than one day. I guess "late evening of the next day" could work, though. And the officer's party can be moved to an Episdoe of its own if people feel it'll still take long.

Could there be a manga cover for this?! Because if we had one with Seiko, Kyasarin, and Magatsu facing off, that would be awesome!

But yes, I also advocate the beginning of an episode thread for this, given how big this has apparently gotten. However, if I may, I would suggest not titling it Episode 4, but rather something like Episode 3a, or something similar. It'd be like an OVA.
