The ermine gestures vaguely with its loaded shotgun.

The projection looks ermine ward.

Yeah, and they never threaten people with knives and shotguns.

The rodent thing is confused by its inability to bite, something it attempts to take out on the projection by biting it as the foot travels past. Since I believe the projection to be an illusion, this is unlikely to work. Especially with the anti-violence field. Getting bored, and deciding to find easier prey, it scurries off. Towards Mr. Davidson's table. The rodent-thing resembles a rodent (hence its current nomenclature) and has icy-blue eyes, grey fur and a longish tail. Something seems off about it, but not to the degree that an eldritch abomination is off.

Oh, okay then. Says Riv, snapping his fingers, causing the dart drops to the table, and ceasing to search his pockets for a ray gun

The ermine grins cheekily at Len as it lets the scimitar down. No use keeping it up to block a dart that has stopped attacking.

"Ah, now ye're really gettin' the hang o' dis. Never did nuthin' bad, dat's rite dat's rite."

It keeps an eye on Riv though. In case he pulls something silly like a ray gun out of his pocket.

"So, what're yer handles?"

handles? I'm a mad scientist if that's what you mean?

"Bah. Yer name ye daft idiot."

The ermine looks annoyed that its slang is misinterpreted. It kicks its floofy hat back onto its head neatly.

[ThirdEmperor]

Riv, Mad Scientist Extraordinaire. But my friends and call would call me Riv. Then again, everyone does.

Leneal Russ is my name, and I should be waking up any moment now.

The projection fades...

And reappears a few seconds later.

I guess I hit myself harder than I thought.

"Me name's Ermine.

...

It'sa good name fer an ermine."

"Ermine" glares at everyone, daring them to argue about its name.

I would question the sanity of anyone who objected to that statement.

[VampireRot]

"Well, I'm already questionin' da sanity of ye blokes. Meself's perfectly sane, o' course."

Ermine giggles and starts putting the shotgun and scimitar back in its hat.

Len decides to test the Divine light.

I'm just gonna call you Ferret.

Riv points at him and the dart shoots towards the man of questionable sanity!

Ermine glares angrily at Len.

"That would not be a vury good idea, Monkey. Ferrets are sell-outs to tha family, and I take et as an insult."

That's no insult, Ferret. I've known plenty of great monkeys. One even wrote plays. Perhaps you've heard of him? His most famous is called Romeook and Juleeket.

I'm... not sure if Len is joking or not.

"... Da poop-flinging tree-climbers? I fink dat you're finking of William Shakesphere. Completely insane."

Ermine adjusts a feather in its cap contemplatively.

I guess so. It has been helpful, at times.
Drew looks around,
Did you want something to drink? Or eat?

"Yes, please," Marcie says with a shy-ish smile. "I would appreciate that. Um. Both."

You know, I think I may have hit my head a wee bit too hard, strange bunny thing standing where Ferret was.

[VampireRot]

"Yar. I know where yer coming from. But ah usually have a few drinks before ah start seein' tha rabbits. Speakin' o' which... Oi! BARKEEP! Gemme some grog!"

Ermine snaps its claws and catches a stein of grog that is thrown at it. The mustelid takes a rather large drink of it, relatively and literally, seeing as how the stein is pretty much half its size.

You know, Bunny, Ferret is probably gonna be mad that you're wearing his hat.

[VampireRot]

Ermine splutters and spits out some grog.

"His?! HIS!??! Ye daft fool, I be a woman!"

The ermine glares at Len and takes another swig. Angrily.

But I wasn't talking about you, Bunny, I was talking about Ferret. Of course you're a girl, Bunny.

[ThirdEmperor]

Here, have some of this. Much better than any normal intoxicant. Riv says, taking a swig out of a bottle and offering it to Ermine.

(Also, other dude. Have you forgotten completely about the homing indestructible dart I threw at you?)

Ermine stares at Len for a moment, not entirely sure what to say. She sighs and then turns to look at the bottle suspiciously.

"Ah... No thankee. I prefer mah grog. Gettin' too smashed ain't somethin that you want 'appenin, ya'know?"

Ermine takes another swig of her stein, completely ignoring her previous statement.

(Considering the fact that you threw it at a punch-drunk, incorporeal projection, I don't think it would do much, so I ignored it.)

Hey, Bunny, do you have any idea why this little bird thing keeps flying around me?

I'm pretty sure that Len is talking about the dart.

It's using your auric signal to navigate by and determine at which point it's mission is complete and it can return to standby mode. Or in layman's terms, it wants to eat your soul. Says Riv, taking another swig from the bottle.

"Naw, in layman's terms, et just wants te nom yer face off, ye see? Give it some room."

Ermine's voice seems quite unsteady as she consumes even more alcohol.

Well, it's a good thing that I'm not actually where I am, is it Bunny and funny-talking Tree?
