Assuming that Poker Night is kinda canon, like the backgrounds and stuff, then the Heavy has a PhD in Russian Literature.
Which should make him a Doctor, right? Dr. Heavy Weapons Guy?

If this is true then, from what little we've got of the Medic's background, this could make the Heavy more of a Dr than the Doctor.

I've always suspected the Heavy having some sort of literary degree. As for the Medic, I have my own backstory that includes 1940's Germany and some run ins with the wrong side of the law.

Never the intent, I merely made them to help you organize it. You're now a group officer, and have every privilege I have in the group. Only reason you weren't earlier was that I was at a friends house.

After having been just challenged to duel in TF2, I don't like how they're run. The other guy got a point because he barely got the killsteal from a Soldier who was killing me.

It should some how work so that it's just 1v1 and that's it.

That would just ruin the team atmosphere of the game. You might as well join a different server if you want to do that.

That would still cause problems I'm sure. It may need to be done better but "only hurt by the other duelist" probably isn't it. Only killed, perhaps...

Then wouldn't that make duelists fairly unbalanced? They can still fight, hurt anyone on the enemy team and are immortal unless killed by the person that challenged them?

Yes, that really wouldn't work. Here, I'll just duel Jibar who happens to be an Engineer making sentries off on Point A. I'll just hit Point B and no one can kill me!

Actually, no. I would presume you could still die from self-damage, fall damage, maybe something else. And, if you include "only can hurt the other duelist" to that attribute, per your original suggestion, a 1-hp "immortal" is hardly scary. But...

Point granted. I didn't think that through when I typed it. Of course, "only hurt by the other duelist" still means annoyances for the other team, if not weird shenanigans or exploits. Messing with sentry tracking as one example. And, after all, that also means they are effectively immortal.
