I'd like to take a square please.

My opinion, the questions should be open, no choices. AND it should be illegal to say you don't know the answer to a question. We should play more like the original Hollywood squares where the object was to convince the players that you were telling the truth (even if you have no idea what the answer is)

As for the question... I prefer the option with four given answers.

no square for me this time. Currently in the middle of finals. And my input is that is strongly depends on the question and how difficult/easy it is.

Personally I like 2-4 choices as if you leave it open choice, the best answer would be to disagree.

I agree with Indurain, that squares should try their best to answer or lie about and answer to the question. I don't know shouldn't be part of an answer. Open ended questions can lead to this more easily IMO.

Thirded. The game ran best, in my opinion, when all the questions were open ended. The whole point of being a square wasn't to answer the question correctly, but to convince the contestant that you were.

Possibly, but if most contestants are smart, they'll disagree as most likely the contestant won't know the exact answer. I understand you are supposed to convince them, but I undecided if open-ended questions is the way to go about that.

The easy counter to this. The square can look up the answer if they are so inclined. (Or depending on how much work Lex feels like doing, the answer could even be PM'd to the square) Then it's up to them if they want to tell the truth or lie.

In my opinion Squares should be about the squares trying to fool the contestants, not finding out how much the squares know, and letting the contestants play the odds game.

I liked the way it used to be, with open ended questions and the occasional multiple choice.
It was always about whether the Square wanted to do good or not. ARE THEY REALLY YOUR FRIEND OR DO THEY HATE YOU?
...or is it just more fun to betray

forgive a silly question...are squares allowed to ask questions?...anyway, my question is this:

I understand why Zeb is going to use a Z to mark his squares...obviously because grandpas are notorious for nodding off whenever the mood strikes them, but whynis Bushranger using a G, and a green G at that?
