He powers down to the first stage of his battle form as he remains perched in the nearby tree. And as he watches the reporters swarm the young ninja, he's glad he did so. Avoid cameras like the plague; that's his motto.

He wasn't leaving yet. The man surrendered. He could potentially fight good way free from the cops. Fred had to keep watch.

John parks his car gets out scratches his head and mutters "Why do I feel like i missed something?"

The reporters seem disappointed to say the least as a few of them decide to follow the other side of the story to his waiting police escort. As he was helped into the car the cameras kept rolling and soon they sped off to the station for processing..

As Seiryu was loaded into the car he was to be transported in you manage to catch a glimpse of a tattoo on his back, it looks like a compass with the east of the compasses direction lit in a bright blue.

farther to the east (outside the city's limits) you can see a small shrine with a statue of a blue dragon. it seems to be glowing slightly. Though other people are passing by they seem not to notice the small glow.

Cassandra's head tilted. That car.... wasn't it.... from the bank incident? Museum? Maybe both? She shook her head, realizing her mind was way too exhausted to comprehend anything too well right now. I know I've seen it from somewhere.... Her thoughts were soon interrupted, however, by the sound of a man asking her if she was fine. Her fists instinctively went up towards her face, ready to throw a punch if it was needed. She soon saw, however, that the man wasn't anyone of Seiryu's making her lower her fists. "Sorry... I'm just... really exhausted. I just finished dealing with a.... personal matter of sorts but mentally and physically, I'm tired. You.... aren't part of the media are you? If so, I already told the others I'm not in the mood for answering questions." She really wasn't either... albeit she realized how unfair she was probably sounding to him right now by making such silly assumptions. Yet she couldn't help but wonder why his face seemed familiar to her. Now that, along with the car that felt familiar, was bothering her and it began to make her head hurt.

A little while later...(Assuming no interruptions)

The utterly normal looking Bob walked into his apartment, using the front door this time. Shutting it quietly behind him, he reached into a closet and pulled out the police radio the commissioner had given him. Working the controls, he listened in on the chatter all around the city. He wanted to wait until night time before he went anywhere as Behir, but he also needed to know where they were taking the robed man from before. He wanted to make sure that he was human. Or not.
No, definitely not.

The scent lingered in his nose like the ache after getting poked in the eye. There was something very wrong about that guy, and Behir wanted to know what it was. But he had to get close to the guy again. He had to know what he was.

Fiddling with the dials on the police radio, Bob sat on the floor, listening intently to the electronic device.

That's definitely no coincidence. "Seiryu" and this statue were connected. Was it a source of power? Was it a source of control? He didn't know. All he did know was that he couldn't just leave it be.

Fred hops onto his hoverboard and then flies towards the dragon statute. Whatever this thing is, Fred's going to mess with it.

The shrine of the Blue Dragon.. That's what they call this place. For years, it has been believed that one can gain great power from praying to the statue. Unlike your ESP vision, when you arrive at the temple itself, the statue is quite large, standing a good 15 feet tall and still pulsating.. Even though the sun is almost down, causing the glow to be more noticeable, you seem to be the only person who can see it.

It's been, needless to say, a long day for both of you. Thankfully it's coming to a close for you both. There have been no reports of any robberies or break outs.

Nothing has come up all day. It seems to be a slow day after the initial scuffle. Thanks to your acute demon hearing,, you are able to tune in different sounds around you. It seems your neighbors have the TV on too loud again and can't find something to watch. As they flip through the channels, you hear something that happens to catch your attention. "Coming up next on the History Channel, World Mythology. Seiryu, the Blue Dragon."

The girl heads off after a bit, leaving you to return to your work at home. The company contacts you saying that the mayor and his aides came by to collect the amount of material they would need in order to create the power nullification device but they seem to pick up a little extra.

Jess having waited at a building nearby, catches up to Cassandra as she leaves, "annoying isn't it?" she says, holding out a can of soda. "Sorry I bailed on you but I had a talk with that... demon, from the fight."

Bob's ears twitched unnaturally, and he rubbed at them as he listened in on his neighbor's TV. They always had that thing cranked up to an unnatural volume. Behir secretly wondered if they were deaf, or something of the sort. It was mostly annoying background noise that made staying inside all day all the more unpleasant. Tonight though, he heard something that sounded familiar.

Seiryu? He'd heard that name before, somewhere... Right! The park, earlier. He'd heard the younger female human, Cass, maybe? He'd heard her use that name to refer to... Bob practically pounced on his TV, switching it to the Discovery channel as fast as he could. He hadn't found out where they were holding the guy yet, but maybe this would give him a good idea of just who this inhuman character was. Settling down cross-legged in front of the decades-old set, Bob glanced at the window. It was almost dark. Behir had things to do soon. After the program was over.

He circles the glowing statue in the air once on his hoverboard, gazing down upon the figure of the dragon. He seemed to be the only person perceiving this... why? He looped around once more before coming in for a landing. As he coasts to a halt, he steps on the ground and places the board across his back on the harness.

He cautiously makes his way to the statue. Did Seiryu pray to this dragon god for power? Was that legend even real? There must be some truth to it...

Fred first touches the statue, contemplating his next move.

Cassandra nodded, eagerly taking the soda from Jess. She almost dropped it at the mention of the word "demon". "Say what?" She thought a bit then laughed. "Don't be ridiculous.... they don't really exist. .... Right?" She supposed if it was true and he was at least on their side.... it wouldn't be too bad but she was taken aback on how she hadn't seemed to notice this before. This time, she had been too occupied with Seiryu.... so what was her excuse from the museum and bank entrances? She was trying to remember.... but no answers were coming to her head right now. She sighed as she flipped her cell phone open and looked at the time then put it away. "School's gonna be a nightmare tomorrow...." She murmured, trying to mentally prepare herself for tomorrow.

"Demons exist, just like the magic Seiryu used to drop the temprature exists. Just like metahumans exist," she shakes her head, "he seemed scared to be found, like he didn't want to be known but at the same time wanted people to recognize him as not being evil. I left him my address just in case he chooses to talk."

After Cassandra comments on school, Jess chuckles, "I could hack into the companies and delete you from the news reals if you'd like," she says, "and maybe take a sick day tomorrow, clear your head a bit, your probably stressed from your encounter."

Cassandra chuckled and shook her head no. "While the idea looks amusing in my mind.... then it'd just cause a chain reaction and..... no, I don't want you risking more than you already have." Her blue eyes shut as she took a sip then reopened. She leaned her head back as she sat with Jessica on the couch and looked up a bit. While continuing to gaze up, she spoke again, "I'm glad today went well and all... but it seemed way too easy. Also, he had no hesitation 10 years ago to make me an orphan and now he had almost none to turn himself in. It's.... really been bothering me. I can't see him doing this unless he has some sort of back-up plan. Yet all the same, he's the only person I've really had as an archrival before... or at least the only one I've known of." Maybe throughout the years there had been others spying on her? It wasn't an overly impossible suggestion and it did make some sense in her mind.

"Most likely he does have a backup. I have something that, once i finish, will let me spy on him through the security cameras in the prison," she says, pulling out the half finished device, she then shakes her head, setting it down then turning on the TV, checking the news. "I find his powers more strange, humans, even metahumans, rarely have that kind of control over the elements without some physical changes that hint to it. Let me check something," she says openning her laptop and searching the name 'Seiryu.'

The news has nothing spectacular on, just a mere mention of Seiryu's arrest as they have been running the story all day and have managed to run it into the ground.. Your search results bring up over 200,000 with the name "Seiryu". It looks like it's going to be a long night.

The program is, to say the least, very interesting.. Seeped in mythos and provides little real world information. However, you do learn that Seiryu is merely a small part of a much larger beast or group of beasts. According to the myths, there are at least 3 or 4 more beasts of direction. The others are Byakko the White Tiger of the West, Suzaku the Vermillion Bird of the South, and Genbu the Black Tortoise of the North. In the center of all the beasts is apparently a powerful entity known as Kohryu the Gold Dragon who rules the Heavens.

The statue is cold to the touch and you feel a slight tug at yourself.... almost as if you are being pulled forward. You then feel a slight vibration at your side. It is coming from your sword. That man had known something about your blade. If anything,, this showed a much deeper connection between the two than mere trivia.

That was extremely interesting. As well as Behir could figure, when a human(or human-ish) person chose a name, it was often symbolic, and tended to have tie-ins to the original meaning of the name. Which explained why he wore blue and used ninjas. It also meant that there were probably three, no four other people out there representing the other being in their mythical cosmology. At least, Behir figured they were mythical. He'd never dealt with them. Still, it probably wasn't a good idea to assume that. It might not end well for him, and while Behir had no illusions that his masquerade topside was probably doomed to failure, he wasn't about to accelerate that process.

Whatever it meant, he had work to do. Night had fallen well enough for him. Darkness was his blanket, and it would cover him well tonight. Grabbing dinner from the fridge, Bob hit the lights in his small apartment, and downed the raw steak after he had morphed back into his true self. Licking his fingers and lips as he crawled out the window and closed it behind him, the nearly invisible demon silently made his way to the roof. Standing up and glancing about, he made sure that no one was following him, and oriented himself against the city landmarks. Glancing down at the note in his hand, he sprinted to the edge of the roof, and neatly jumped the space between him and the building next door.

One of the advantages of working with a delivery service was that he had gotten to know the city fairly quickly. Now that knowledge was coming in handy as he made his way across the city, like a swift shadow. He needed to try and get the help of the other heroes in town if he wanted to find out what Seiryu really was. Since he only knew where one of them lived, this street that he dropped down next to, just behind city hall, was the place to go. Behir took a moment to study to find the right address, then silently made his way towards the house, avoiding the harsh glare of the street lights.

Cassandra was glad to hear at least she wasn't sounding overly paranoid about Seiryu having a back-up plan. Still, she was annoyed....to extents... that Jessica agreed with her. She sat behind Jessica, quietly watching what she was doing and chuckled. "Even I could have told you that won't be the way to find him. As far as his.... alternative identity, I do know he was a martial arts instructor.... but of which dojo or what his real name is, I do not know unfortunately. However, if you can find the archives of my parents' obituaries, it should mention his real name as I believe at least one person figured it out."

You arrive at the address listed and not anytime too soon as you hear voices from inside. It sounds like two people... which is good. More people to talk about things with.

Glancing up and down the street nervously, Behir approached the house. The voices sounded familiar, which was good. He could deal with familiar people. Taking a deep breath, Behir circled the house until he reached a room that had its lights on. Peering inside, he could see the two female humans from the park, sitting at a computer. That was also good. According to the TV, a person with the proper knowledge of computers could access information that was being kept secret. It looked fairly easy on the shows, but Behir had learned from personal experience that the random tapping the characters on the television did would not yield much information. Which was sad. Even when he duplicated the motions perfectly.

Whatever. He needed information, and the woman that had offered her address seemed to be skilled at computing. Which meant that she could help him find out what happened to Seiryu. Which gave him a couple options. He knew that the way most people attempted to initiate contact with others was through the front door of the residence. One was supposed to rap on the surface of the door with the knuckles, then declare why they were visiting when the resident came within sigh, either by opening the door, or perceiving the visitor through the transparent surface of the outer door. Bob had done it many times. Behir wasn't so sure that was the necessary approach. Especially in his current form. And the woman would not recognize his other form, and Behir didn't want to explain the connection between the two. So, he had to settle for a less socially accepted method of initiating contact.

Giving one last nervous glance over both shoulders, Behir reached up and tapped on the window glass with one claw, careful not to break it. At the same time he released his camouflage effect with an effort of will and stretched his head up to look through the window. Large yellow eyes peered through the glass as he spoke with his oddly accented voice.

"Hello?"

Cassandra had been about to speak the answer to Jessica's question... but another voice got her attention as she quickly turned to the sudden "Hello?" she just heard. The sight of yellow eyes made her jump up and quickly rub her own. She then also recalled Jessica mentioning that one guy who was, apparently, a demon. "Um.... I hope that's our demonic ally and not some..... unusually tame robber. All I know is.... we've got more company and I doubt any sane villain would come up to a person's window and go "Hello?" Gods she hoped it was only the ally.... otherwise this would be an unusual but amusing nonetheless long night.

"That would be him," she said, openning the window, "Glad you decided to come," she said with a smile as she stepped to the side so he could come in. "Cass, this is Behir. Behir, Cassandra, she fought Seiryu earlier today."

Behir quirked his head slightly at Cassandra as his eight legs pulled him easily through the window, then stepping quickly to the side to get himself out of easy sight for someone standing outside. The girl had called him 'demonic', though he wasn't sure if she really knew what was meant by that. Or at least, if she defined the term in the same way that he did. Humans called almost everything non-animal a demon, including some representatives of their own species. Perhaps this girl was just applying that blanket term. He hoped so. He would rather his cover wasn't blown that easily. Still, it was good to make friends, or so he reminded himself, and after a moment of silence, twisted his hand into something slightly more humanoid, and extended it towards the girl, Cassandra.

"It is, uh, good to meet you, Cassandra. A pleasure."
His accent twisted the name, though not totally beyond recognition, and doing the same as he extended another hand towards Jess, the fingers twisting around to be able to shake her right hand with his left hand. It was the most commonly used sign of greeting and good faith that Behir had observed in the U.S., so it seemed logical that he would extend it to both, right?
"And, you again... Uh, Jess, right?."

Heh, glad you think so, Virgo. Eh, just in case anyone cares, but I'm guessing a good Knowledge(arcane lore) or whatever would probably tell you a thing or two about behirs, in general. Just a thought.

Jess smiles then nods, taking his hand, "you got it right, Jessica, though i prefer Jess, or Data when in costume," she takes a seat at the table rather than her computer desk, it would have been rude to stick to her computer while company was over, unless it was needed, "take a seat if you'd like," she says indicating a seat at the table.

Cassandra felt herself relax as she was told that it was, indeed, the same person Jessica had mentioned. "Sorry about my lack of manners. It... has been a really long day." She explained, taking his hand and accepting the hand shake. As Jessica and ... Behir according to Jessica, had sat down, she joined them and sat across from Jessica. Not that she didn't trust Behir... no, she just knew Jessica much longer and was used to being around her more. "So.. may I ask what exactly brought you here?" She pulled a notebook out from her backpack and began to write down two names on it. When she finished, she folded it in half and slid it to Jessica.

The Masamune reacted to this statue?! He looked down at his blade, then up at the dragon once again. He was initially planning on destroying this statue, hoping to severely harm Seiryu. However... that behavior might have unintended consequences.

Fred instead decides to attempt to meditate.... to see what specific connection he has with these statues. Destiny is a funny thing.
