Well, Brendan certainly isn't a poet. But his cheeks color just a little as he smiles.
"Well, then, if that's enough for you, it's enough for me. Well, that and a fishing pole, at least. Can't go camping without going fishing."

Crae says, walking in past the zombie butler and looking around. It's clear from his tone and the way that he's carrying himself that he expects to be obeyed, and is not in the best of moods.

Though I can't remember the exact details of the threat, I know there was one made.

Ash shakes her head. "Yes it is. If you did it for fun, you wouldn't use hooks."

[Brendan's]

"Ah! But you see, it isn't about that either. Fishing is about sitting there and relaxing, and contemplating life, and getting angry at the fish when it dares to interrupt you by biting your hook," Brendan explains.

That doesn't make any sense, you know." Ash realizes that it isn't supposed to, and smiles as she stands.

[Brendan's]

"Nope!"
He chuckles cheerily, and stands as well, smiling back, then stretching.

[Brendan's]

"That doesn't make sense either." she adds, shaking her head slowly.

"Sometimes some things simply never make sense," Brendan says with a shrug. "So. Camping tomorrow, but what about tonight?"

"Staying at home, correct?" What of the many things he could mean is what is meant?

[Brendan's]

"But of course. But is there anything you'd like to do? Midnight snack? Or just to bed?" Brendan smiles, and reaches to take her hand in his.

[Brendan's]

"I was just going to sleep after reading. Was there something you were planning?" Ashna asks, totally straightforward, implying nothing and hearing no implications.

[The Bushranger]

[Brendan]

"Nothing in particular," Brendan shrugs, also wholly straightforwards. "Perhaps a light breakfasty-thing before bed, but then I was thinking I would just enjoy being with the most beautiful woman I know."

Diabetes sets in in some at this, no doubt.

[Brendan]

Disease does not work that way! "You'll have to hurry to see Maria tonight. I'll be sleeping, dear." A hint of not being serious, but no more, and Ash heads over to the mattress and deadtime.

Brendan just sticks his tongue out at Ashna, then heads up to the kitchen for a bacon sandwich, before returning and slipping into bed with his wife for snuggles. And sleep.

Al comes down dressed. He smells the muffins and smiles. " Really, I don't think I could get tired of your cooking Delta. " He says and sits down to eat.

As he's eating the scientist talks between bites. " So, if we do get a swimming pool, that means we would probably have to get an entire addition to the house, possibly get the basement finished and expanded. "

" Then I will have to put a call in for some workers to come and do that then. Well then... " Al finishes eating and he stands up. " Thank you for breakfast but I need to be going now. " The scientist walks over to give Delta a good long goodbye kiss.
