Dies has a green IME. I doubt it's him, though.

The one who came to mind immediately, though, was Kin, as she has a green IME as well. Hers and Dies' don't quite match up with the sound effect in the next-to-last panel though.

It might also be Chief's ghost, but that's just a thought off the top of my head. I don't really expect that to happen.

Huh... if that's really Minmax, the whole prophecy thing will get solved a lot faster than I thought it would.

I'm guessing that green glow comes from the Jade Teapot. At least, we don't know anybody else who calls him Names.

    This page makes me angry.

Building up to Kore taking off his helmet... and then-
Oh, wait, no. You don't get to see that. The goblins run off.
Then he pulls out another mystery cliff hanger on the same page.
You know what we'll get to see next page?

Nothing, he'll cut back to one of the other groups.

We'll get to see it one day. Along with that explanation of what gave Goblinslayer the goblin slayer his half-tree template.

I thought so, but Big Ears' line has me wondering.

Also, Chief somehow deemed it necessary to sacrifice himself in order to delay Kore for a few rounds of combat, which isn't something you'd really do when chased by your average dwarf, which is after all a waddling pile of metal and facial hair.

Right now my theory is that Kore is a retired character of Minmax's player. Aside from the obvious stuff, he probably traded in his capability to use any of his abilities non-verbally for a somewhat laxer code of conduct than usual.

Okay. So if it is Minmax, my only question is how he, Forgath and Kin got to and through The Maze of Many so quickly.

Also, if it is him, I hope Kin came with, since I'd like to see her more in the comic.

this. Jade teapot, magic, gives off a green IME. makes sense to me.

and no people, you cant call this a dues ex machina, the Jade teapot was mentioned ages ago.

And I have my doubts about the teapot. Yeah, it could be, but I would've atleast thought we would've seen them going through the maze to get it... Dies's dungeon crawl is getting suitable coverage... Why wouldn't Minmax and Forgath's?

Well my first thought when i saw the aura was that it was dies horribly after getting some awsome shiny armor upgrades from the crawl. that seems unlikely though, as the crawls are not one and the same.

Maybe Minmax can explain what happened after Forgath is killed and the rest of them get away.

i doubt Kin wil lbe there, she needs to bring the teapot home.

Can you imagine this comic, which isn't exactly the fastest when it comes to story progress, switching between two dungeon crawls and the main group?
I'm glad Thunt skipped it, really.

Of course, the resulting scene...well, let's just say that Minmax's timing is quite remarkable. But that doesn't really bug me.

Maybe he'll release Minmax & company's adventures in the printed release?

What's bothering me is: anyone has any idea how long it's been since we last saw them in comic time?

I'd say it's quite possible that it will be Minmax and Forgath, decked out with shiny new armor and weapons. They'll posture for a moment, and then it'll probably flip back to either the dungeon crawl they just went through, or to Dies. Either way, I wouldn't actually mind that much.

Could be, but that's a lot for just bonus material.

Not really. But I think it can't have been more than a few days, since Young And Beautiful said something about Kore needing two weeks to reach the village if memory serves.

EDIT: It's actually eight days. That's...uh...not too many.

I can think of one guy, who also swore a death oath. A guy who last we saw, hadn't even discovered his IME

Deus ex machina also requires it to be something previously never mentioned. The teapot was mentioned.

Incidentally, (and I know I'm going to reopen a can of worms) I thought of something that may, or may not, have been covered by the previous threads:
FACT: the GAP was 4th level.
FACT: Chief and Names both have fairly impressive IMEs.
FACT:Ears has an ime that fills a fairly large circle.
FACT:Goblinslayer has been seen to cast just 1 spell. So we have a minimum level for him(4 for a high wisdom, 6 if not).
However, his IME when casting that spell wasn't very impressive. Just a vague glow.
Conclusion: Much less impressive than the 4th level characters have. So, I'm going to say that GS the high level ranger was only 6th level. And already suffering from villain decay. A situation where someone very deadly and fearsome has a tendency to be humiliated and get his butt kicked by creatures much weaker than he is.

they were only 3rd level at the time Thac0 fought Goblinslayer, and Complains's IME is only impressive because of the demon head. before that the only evidence of it was glowing eyes when rageing, and purple trails eminaiting from his sword.

It still amazes me at times how it's been like... 7 days, give or take, since the beginning of the comic, and it's taken us around 5 and a half years to cover that.

Well, they didn't quite have 8 days.

I'm not going to check how long it took the goblins to Brassmoon, but Forgath and Minmax arrived at least a day after them and made camp before heading into the dungeon.
And Kore isn't actually at the village yet.

Of course, it's possible that Kore was delayed by something really, really evil. Or Young And Beautiful didn't just send him right into a dungeon crawl but also neglected to mention that he'd need to march for 8 days straight with no rest for her information to be accurate.

Yes, but now they're 4th level. Which is what I'm going off of when I look at the goblin IMEs.
Ignoring Complains the halffiend something, lets look at chief.
    Bulls strength: http://www.goblinscomic.com/10122010-3/

    Cure Light wounds: http://www.goblinscomic.com/12142010-2/

All four of those effects look a lot better/elaborate/time consuming on THunts part than GS and his magic weapon.

Plenty of time if they had been doing it for the entire 8 days. We know they visited Brassmoon AFTER the GAP had wrecked up the place so that limits their time a fair bit...

Plus theres the fact that as far as we know, Kore hasn't reached the village yet, so we don't know that the full 8 days have passed.
