Learning the Ropes (3.5 Level 1 Solo)
We will start with the basics of character creation, and then we can run your character through an introductory adventure.
The first step will be to roll for your ability scores. To roll dice on this forum, you put the word "roll" in square brackets, followed by a formula that determines the number of dice you want to roll followed by the number of sides each die has. A lot of what we'll be doing later will be 1d20 (one twenty-sided die), but we'll start by rolling 4d6 (four six-sided dice) for each ability score. By including "b3" at the end, we're telling the dice roller to roll 4 six-sided dice and then keep the best 3. Since you have 6 ability scores, we'll do this 6 times. Post the following formula six times as a reply:
[roll] 4d6b3[/roll]
You'll need to take out the space between the [roll] and the 4 in order for it to work.
Once you submit, it'll show you 6 different ability scores that you can then assign between Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. For a description of what each score means, read this. Let me know if you have any questions along the way.
