So, I bought this book the first time it came around, and now they are accepting submissions for the Second Book. Just wanted to throw it out there for the Playground to see, and potentially submit for!

My story is going to be based on the Antikythera Mechanism.

I was very tempted to buy a copy of Machine of Death myself, but I did't have the cash.

There's a free (and legal) PDF if you want to read the stories without having a phyiscal copy.

And yeah, I a) thought it was pretty good and b) fancy writing a story for the second one.

It's fantastic. Some of the best writers and artists team up to give you a ton of short stories and illustrations, as well as some unknown ones who still produce beautiful work. Some of my favorites:
•Torn Apart and Devoured By Lions (art by Dr. McNinja's artist)
•Almond
•Murder and Suicide, Respectively (Qwantz writer and artist of Dresden Codak)
•Exhaustion From Having Sex With a Minor (Yahtzee and Cameron Stewart, a fantastic comic book artist)
•Cocaine and Painkillers (David Malki ! and Jess Fink, both awesome)
•? (Randall Munroe)
•Cassandra

The others are all great, too, but to me these stick out.

The best story was "HIV infection from Machine of Death needle".

Bought the dead tree version, got it signed by North and Malki, and embossed. Also got a Death Machine card - "falling free branch".
