A BRIEF HISTORY by the esteemed Lord Magtok

In the darkest pits of despair there lived a fearsome being, one made of pure malevolence, hatred, and madness. He had an equally dark and loathsome plan for our world, the formation of an organization to be known as Evil Incorporated, destined to spread his unhallowed name throughout the world, so that all might come to know and fear the one named Psyke_D.

Fortunately for the rest of us, there's already a webcomic called Evil Inc. When this was pointed out by yours truly, the members of this fledgling new organization went into a frenzy. What good could an evil organization be without a suitably original, stylish, and menacing name? All sorts of suggestions were produced, everything from Vilecom (painfully bland) to Fullbladder's Fabulous Funky Foursome (Totally incorrect, as there was at least six of us by then).

Finally, someone (and by someone I mean me) offered a suggestion even better than Evil Inc, the "Association of the Malicious, Evil, and Nefarious". Everyone immediately realized that this was by far the best name they'd ever heard of, and after a chorus of "AMEN, brother"s and nibbling on some pixies, the Association had officially begun.

Years went by after that. In-jokes were formed, members came and went, and dictators were ousted and replaced with new dictators more swiftly than Central America during the Cold War on steroids. It was a glorious time, full of wars with EVIL, The Town, France, and HALO. (All ending in AMEN victories, aside from the last one, which was more of a cease-fire stalemate thingy)

Lives were lost, promptly restored, and then lost again. Love blossomed between various Associates, dark feuds between others, and every manner of nonsense imaginable, but that chaotic energy, that "Burn it all and let the gods sort it out" attitude always came before anything else.

Sadly, these days were destined to end eventually. AMEN just couldn't keep up with HALO, GLoG, and the rest of the world, and xenophobically shut its doors upon the rest of the world. A Dark Age ensued, full of newbs posting inane nonsense and old members complaining about the newbs instead of trying to better their situation, until eventually, not even the newbs were posting anymore.

Then came hope. Most called him crazy (and they were right), others called him ridiculously optimistic, and some say he's a big smelly dragon who doesn't bathe anywhere near as much as he should (Or maybe only I say that), but everyone else called him Gordon, the new leader of AMEN. Realizing that this xenophobic age had to end, he led AMEN out of the darkness, and brought about a new age of darkness, gave us a world where AMEN is once again a serious threat. For that, we owe him our thanks. I'm still gonna stab him in the back the first chance I get, though.

THE BUILDING

You don’t want to know. The greatest minds of our time have studied AMEN’s base, only to be driven MAD by the labyrinthine, ever shifting corridors and reality-defying chambers. The base itself is sentient, and doesn’t really take kindly to smartasses trying to map it. That being said, as long as you don’t try too hard to make sense of the base, it’s not difficult to find, say, the an empty bunk, the common room, the can, the lab, et cetera. Of course, there’s much more to the base than that, but I can’t tell you about it. 1) Because it would crush your little mind, and 2) because I don’t wanna.

Legion undeadtimes here, smashing a bottle on the wall to christen the new thread.

Then she just wanders around, bored again. But at least she seems to be in a good mood.

[The Alexandrian]

Perhaps Lady Legion will hear a rapping on the door as Brother Pavel A. Dawson knocks on it. The knocking is quite loud and forceful, after all. Considering the building's labyrinthine layout, it might have to echo through a few corridors to before someone can hear it.

If anyone should choose to open the door, he or she would find a man of 6' clad in the garb of a Franciscan Monk. His hands are tucked into his sleeves, but his face is clearly visible under his hood. It is a youthful face. The man couldn't be older than twenty. His blue eyes, however, possess a deadened appearance and his face is pallid due to lack of sunlight. The shadow of his hood is cast over his face as well. Other than that, he appears to be a handsome, grim man.

He definitely doesn't seem evil. In fact, he has a rather devout look to him. His face is shaven and his hair is short. His bearing is of a "pious peter." The robes only accentuate to this quality.

Regardless, he is here to join AMEN. Interpret it as you will.

[Murkus]

It takes a few minutes for her to notice.

Legion answers the door with a spring in her step, offering a big smile to the man. "Hey there! Here to join or murder badguys?"

[The Alexandrian]

"I'm here to join, though murder sounds nice too."

"You seem too kind and happy for a villain. I take it that you are either insane or have had a merry life."

He seems to be teasing Legion a little as he speaks. His voice is deep and tranquil, yet it is hushed.

Pavel certainly does not return the smile, though he does chuckle after he speaks. The chuckling, however, is not caused by mirth but by tension. Pavel chuckles when he is nervous. At least he maintains eye contact.

Who wouldn't be nervous when speaking to a member of a society of lunacy and evil?

[Murkus]

"Uh... the second one. And welcome!" Legion ushers him inside, still all smiles. She holds up a finger, saying, "One moment."

And she'll run off, returning a few minutes later with a huge stack of papers. "You just gotta sign these and you're in. Though you should use blood."

[The Alexandrian]

Pavel waits in whatever area Legion leaves him in.

After Legion returns with the forms, Pavel speaks as he slits his index finger open and sets to work signing the stack of forms without reading them.

"First things first, I am called Brother Pavel Dawson. And you are?"

[Murkus]

"Um. Mary, or Legion." She keeps smiling, folding her hands behind her back. "How come you wanna join? I mean you look awfully... monkish."

[The Alexandrian]

Pavel finishes signing the forms.

"I am joining so that others will suffer as I have suffered. But you probably don't want to sit through that story, nor do I want to relive it. And yes, I was a monk, but that was some time ago."

His look and tone is one of indifference. Even the thought of those days saddens and infuriates him, but he attempts to repress these emotions.

These emotions, unfortunately, may be quite evident. His eyes flash with hatred for a moment. As abruptly as this hatred appeared, it disappears.

"Why did you join, Mary?"

He inquires in a cheery tone. Well, as cheery a tone as a tortured soul can muster.

[ThePhantom]

Gordon walks into the main room.

"Hello Legion, and who is this?"

[Murkus]

"I... thought it sounded like fun at the time." Legion says, curious about this stranger. Then she turns to Gordon, still smiling. "Oh, hey Gordon. He's called Pavel, I think."

[The Alexandrian]

"Greetings, Gordon. I am Brother Pavel Dawson. I just signed on."

He offers his hand to Gordon so that he might shake it. His bearing is very formal and solemn.

[ThePhantom]

Gordon tries to shake Pavel's hand.

"So, you would be a minister of some sect. Might I ask which one?"

[The Alexandrian]

Pavel squeezes Gordon's hand firmly while they shake hands.

"I belong to no ministry. My brethren are dead. I belong to no gods. They do not exist."

Pavel responds. His voice is a mere whisper and his eyes are alive with sheer, base contempt. It is clear that he is struggling to repress his emotions at this point.

[ThePhantom]

"I see. That's an interesting viewpoint."

Gordon is trying to figure out how to handle this guy, all signs point to dangerous fantic, question beliefs if you wish for pain.

"So, what's your viewpoint on horrors against reality?"

[The Alexandrian]

"That depends. What do you want it to be?"

The correct answer to any question!

Generally, only military personnel utilize this response. Pavel has no military experience. He must have read about it.

[ThePhantom]

"What?"

(deadtime)

[Zefir]

[Main Room]

Zefir looks around.

"Hello?"

Since there is noone answering, because they are all deadtime. Zefir goes back to his room and reenters the main room with a few boxes.
Then he starts preparing a few new traps.

[The Alexandrian]

"What I mean is that I am open to persuasion where this topic is concerned, mainly due to the fact that I am unsure of what the phrase 'horrors against reality' encompasses."

Pavel replies.

[ThePhantom]

"It means beings that should not exist, that could drive people mad just by looking upon them. I'm just trying to figure out if you run the risk of annoying the thing in the walls, which would be bad."

Gordon waves his hand at the walls, his face very serious.

[The Alexandrian]

"The being that you describe sounds rather peculiar and awe-inspiring, to tell you the truth."

Pavel glances at the walls and bows to them in a courtly manner.

"Greetings, I am Brother Pavel Dawson. I am honored to make your acquaintance."

He speaks to the walls in a tone of sincere reverence.

He is unsure of what he is speaking to, but he still speaks.

[ThePhantom]

"Um, it is also insane, and talking to it is usually a bad idea!"

Gordon quickly walks away from Pavel, hoping to get outside of any blast radias.

[D_Lord]

Well haven't seen one of these in a long time.
No mouths this time forming, instead the air itself is moving to make the words, oddly it sounds more normal than it normally talking.

I think things are getting more and more interesting.

[ThePhantom]

Gordon stops.

"Interesting indeed. I don't recall it ever having that reaction to a person."

[The Alexandrian]

"I would hope that things shall become all the more interesting. Life can get to be quite a bore, wouldn't you say? Especially for one who dwells within the walls of a building."

Pavel is on edge. On the brink of absolute darkness. The tone of his voice fluctuates and undulates unnaturally, as though it were a voice that was not wholly his own but the voice of three dead men echoing through a chasm. His eyes flash with a burning light as the last bit of his mind is contaminated by hatred. His right hand clenches into a fist and the fingers of his left hand drum against the side of his thigh expectantly.

This is an ominous action, but it is not designed to threaten the being in the walls. Instead, it should unveil an uncanny likeness between the two beings.

They are.
More than men. Less than gods.

[ThePhantom]

Gordon sighs, well, he handled having the thing in the walls, he can handle this guy too.

"Um, Pavel, might I show you around, let you get to know the place?"

[The Alexandrian]

Gordon sighs, well, he handled having the thing in the walls, he can handle this guy too.

"Um, Pavel, might I show you around, let you get to know the place?"

"I would heartily enjoy that, Gordon. Might I ask that our mutual friend accompany us? I would like to get to know the both of you better."

Pavel motions to the walls as he speaks.

By now Gordon should begin to understand the extent of Pavel's abnormality and insanity.

[ThePhantom]

"Its in all the walls, you can't get away from it in here. Oh well, I hope you don't mind a long tour, this place can change around."

Gordon goes to open a door, and there's a broom closet.

"See, this used to be the way I came in here."

[The Alexandrian]

"I realize that our friend is this place. It pervades the very atmosphere. I find it quite refreshing, actually, to have the darkness in such a close proximity again. It is like how I imagine a mother's carress would feel like. I find that it is more cordial to invite such things to accompany me if they are bound to accompany me anyway."

Pavel shrugs as he views the interior of the broom closet.

He raises his right hand and begins to stroke his chin.

"That could really come in handy..."
