And another ex-lurker here.
I just couldn't resist the urge to join this party.
First time I played D&D was about twenty years ago, a few sessions 1st edition, a few years filled with emptyness, a few years playing AD&D, again a visit in the void for a few years and now I'm playing 3.5 for 4-ish years. And a bit of modern.
And thanks for all the tips I got in my lurkingtime

Hey peoplez. How's y'all doin'? I'm great. I'm also mad, which is probably why the men in white keep coming to my place and taking me to a big house where I wear a jacket that makes me hug myself... Maybe we should give one of those to Thog, he'd love it.
anyways, I'm a dm, much to my players dismay. I tend to go a bit overboard with the monsters, but my players pull through... even if at least one nearly dies every time... but, c'est la vie. I do give good amounts of treasure to make up for their "loss" 
so it's all good.
