Re: LaLa's Laughably Silly Random Banter Thread - RB #158
Mostly over semantics out of not understanding the points properly, as far as I can tell of the actual substance of what was said, that's all I can really see. And many points? I only see the discussion of the hypothetical negative female, which I've never seen anyone LGBTA-related claim except in throwaway hyperbole, and using unfortunate to describe known genetic conditions that lead to various problems for most individuals have them AFAIK.
That's definitely the most unique mental image I've run into of the average soldier in modern nations' militaries.

Re: LaLa's Laughably Silly Random Banter Thread - RB #158
And Wizard conjures a picture of a man with a robe and a long beard that throws fireballs to his left and right. Doesn't prevent it from actually being one of the least efficient ways of playing a Wizard in 3.5. I'd still say that western world militaries are trained enough to make them fighters. Military training has taken huge steps since the Great War (where the Canadians cheated *snicker*), after all.
I think the Ranger is reserved for hunters and commando soldiers/snipers. Although, commandos could be rogues too, in some cases...Last edited by Teddy; 2011-05-14 at 12:16 PM.

Re: LaLa's Laughably Silly Random Banter Thread - RB #158
If that statue actually exists, it is now my goal in life to go see it and kiss the metaphorical ring on its finger.
My stepdad is a multiclass expert/warrior at this point, his first couple levels were in warrior - was in the navy, but not in actual combat, he worked on the engines - and since he's worked maintenance for heavy machinery and boilers and stuff, giving him a couple levels in expert. I'm pretty certain my mother is a commoner with a single level in expert. Personally, I'm just a commoner, nothing special, with like an 8 in everything. I'm not nearly vain enough to say I deserve anything but an NPC class.-Vonriel

I've got a level in sniper (yay hunting!) and a few in expert.
Pretty low level, though =(Hate me if you want. But that's your issue to fix, not mine.

According to D&D rules I'm a level 1 expert with scattered ranks in way too many different fields.

If we're doing the what levels you have thing, I'd say I'm a level 1 expert, ranks in Perform (Sing), Knowledge (Math), Knowledge (Biology), Knowledge (Engineering). I'm about to get a level in Fighter/Warrior here in a few months. Average STR and CON, Below average DEX and WIS, above average INT and CHA.
End of line.

Re: LaLa's Laughably Silly Random Banter Thread - RB #158
My friend showed up to school the other day like that. The next day he was back to normal (or at least, normal for him) and gave no reason for why. Of course, this is the same guy who went parading around school a few days ago saying how he "won because of sex". We were playing scrabble and got the X on a triple letter score for 32 points.
On the topic of what classes we are, I feel I'm Expert X/Scout 1/Computer Programmer 1, where X is some number between 1 and 3.

Oh dear.
Oh dear oh dear.
There is no emoticon to express my feelings.
It, I just, um.
No.
That was an utter waste of two hours of my life, even with snark.
Good thing the Gaiman episode of Doctor Who is going to be up in bbciplayer any moment now.
Got to wash the taste out of my brain.

Re: LaLa's Laughably Silly Random Banter Thread - RB #158
Continuing my Godzilla binge, today I watched King Kong vs. Godzilla. This movie was...weird. It didn't follow the continuity of the previous movies very well, contradicted itself, and had some of the lamest and most awful humor I've ever seen, such as the line "King Kong won't make a monkey out of us!" Seriously, they tried to make Godzilla into a lighthearted comedy. Bleh.
On the plus side, the fights were awesome. I got to see King Kong ram an entire tree into Godzilla's mouth.Avatar by Serpentine.
