By the way, I'm noticing a possible game design problem: technically, there's an incentive to delay your turn until everyone else has played, because the shots they make, given that with a high probability they're making legal moves, give information about where they are. Not sure whether there should be some sort of counterincentive to balance out that.

Hmmm, you've got a fair point here, though I'm not sure to what extent people target squares can absolutely pinpoint their location I'm sure it does narrow it down for those posing actions later.

I'm not sure what can be done about it as the game stands, other than if people wait until late to post then they're at risk of missing out entirely due to my scattergun update schedule. Maybe one small incentive to post early would be that if two people target the same square and frag someone, then only the one that posted first gets the frag?

Seems like a good solution to me, a small advantage to offset a small disadvantage. That'd basically mean that bombing a square someone else already bombed is an illegal move, so people who post later have fewer choices. I think the only people you would have to worry about this from are people who have a rather rigid system (e.g. a script) and to exactly those people the possibility of losing out on the best possible move according to the system might seem significant. (Speaking as someone who planned to have a system but hasn't really gotten around to it yet.)

Yeah, I messed up there, things will be rectified with Calar and the results posted at turn end.

I'm not entirely sure that illegal moves should be allowed, but it's what I stated in the opening post so I'll be sticking to it for the rest of the game.
