Eeep! Brinika is a little startled by a man hanging in mid-air. Um. Are you Jack Empty? Reelshka warned her against him.

"So I'm told." Jack says, looking at Brinika with a mellow expression. "And you are?"

Infirmary

Nix has returned to his favorite haunt, floating around in a depressed manner. By now, most of the infirmary walls and the floor are coated in ectoplasmic blood, incorporeal but still disgusting to look at.

Main Cabin

Fferrir approaches the main cabin and knocks on the door, the sound of his adamantine plated knuckles against the woodwork audible throughout the entire cabin. Although no-one could tell under his mask, his face displays obvious distaste for all this. A nobleman like himself should be above such things.

[Reinholdt]

Main Cabin... ROOF
Reinholdt kitty peers down from the roof.
No, I don't know what he was doing up there. Probably having fun by peering down at people who knock at the door.
"Hello!"

I'm Brinika, the tiny goblin says nervously. She's obviously rather scared. Caretaker hoves above her protectively.

[Main Cabin]

Reelshka sighs, leaves her notes on the table and goes to open the door to the cabin. What do you want, sir? She manages not to add "And couldn't you knock a little quieter."

[ThirdEmperor]

Main Cabin

....I heard this place offered shelter to those in need. The metallic man says, clearly ashamed at having to ask for charity.

[Main Cabin]

Reelshka peers upwards at Reinholdt. It is one of our functions, but I need to know why you're seeking shelter. Please be honest with me.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt just peers back quietly.
It's no fun if the visitor isn't startled by a talking cat on the roof, and he doesn't really have anything to add.
So he goes for the cute or creepy kitty 'I'm watching you' factor instead.
Because that'll get him points. >>

"Right. Nice to meet you, Brinika." Jack gives her a quiet, amused smile. Don't show fear, Brinika. He's like a dog. >.>

"And who's your friend?" He points at Caretaker.

Main Cabin

Fferrir turns his gaze upward, spotting the catman on the roof. Would the roof be made of tin, by any chance? "I have recently left my homeworld, for reasons unimportant. Sadly, I forgot to bring money nor anything else, and now need a place to stay." Literally, Fferrir's adamantine hide covers everything that needs to be covered for the sake of dignity, so he doesn't even wear clothes. "There may also be a dangerous man with delusions of authority following me, but I have dealt with him and will do so again if he endangers you or anyone else here."

[Morty]

[Lakeside]

This is Caretaker. He's my own drone and he protects me, Brinika explains. This man is creepy and she really wants to go away now.

[Main Reason]

I'm afraid those reasons are, in fact, important. Reelshka places her hands on her hips.

[Reinholdt]

[Main Cabin]

Cat! He's a cat with a sniper rifle!
I don't think the roof is tin being a cabin. More likely wood.
And am willing to punch people for the incoming pun if it was.

Reinholdt remains quiet all the way into deadtime.

Actually, I'm pretty sure most of the cabins do have tin roofs...

Fferrir pauses for a moment, irritated and trying to think of how to explain. I was once a knight and a general, in service to a lord who's name I have sworn never to speak of again. I fought for him, for twenty one years, I was a hero, a living legend... Then he commited a crime upon my house, for which I cursed his name. A knights honor is bound to that of his master, and I was left with only two choices to avoid living in shame. Kill him, or leave and never again speak his name, nor of his crime. As he speaks, everyone listening should be able to hear the anger creep into his voice at the mere memory of it. Reinholdt, who Fferrir believes to be a slave, gets ignored.

Andy returns from his trip and enters the Ground. He lookes as if he got a hard day and with hard day I mean like having the hardest day ever.

[Murkus]

[Lakeside]

This is Caretaker. He's my own drone and he protects me, Brinika explains. This man is creepy and she really wants to go away now.

"That's good. Not a whole lot to fear around here, though." Still that amused smile. The wizard dismounts his emu, the creature making a queer noise, and steps towards the lake. He lifts a flat stone and hurls it, but ends up just making a little splash. "No good." He looks at Brinika. "You know, if I'm that unnerving, you can leave." His tone is matter-of-fact.

[Morty]

[Main Cabin]

Right. If that's true, then I suppose we could allow you to stay for a while... provided you don't endanger the people here or interrupt the redemption projects. If you do, you can consider yourself evicted.

[Lakeside]

Brinika glances at Jamie. She would really like her to be by her side right now, since she's so much braver than her. She looks back at Jack. Well, um. You are kinda scary, sir. Even though you're redeeming now.

[The Bushranger]

And Jamie notices Brinika...

And who's talking with Brinika.

And she frowns, hurrying over to join her friend.

"Scary? Really?" Jack frowns, not remembering any evil grins he's directed toward Brinika. In fact, he's been feeling a lot less psychotic since GLoG's psychiatrist put him on those pills. "I guess the redeemings not really working, in that case."

The wizard gives Jamie a glance, once she arrives. "Hi."

"If my presence does bring danger upon this place, I will deal with it myself, or simply leave before anyone is harmed." Fferrir says. "As for the villains you harbor here, I would be willing to assist those who have yet to find redemption, if you will allow me. I know much of the subject, having once been a criminal myself."

[Reinholdt]

[Main Cabin]

"Sounds like you were a knight of upholding silly rules. What do you know about being a criminal?"
The kitty 'slave' asks.

Anybody else would probably think his life before he joined the military was pretty great. And I would advise against calling my ideals "silly", for I'm sure I can find far greater fault with yours.

"You could, but I already beat you to the punch. That doesn't really show any indication of criminal activities though. How do we know you're really a crook?"

I started as a base criminal, I became something far better. As for proof, you have my word, and in this situation my word is all but undeniable. As a knight I have sworn not to lie and therefor must be telling the truth. I could only be lying were I not a knight, and as impersonating a knight is a crime, that would make me a criminal. Either way, I speak the truth. Fferir says, fast losing interest in this little debate and seeking to end it with a simple application of logic. Why? Who are you, to be so ready to question my word. A note of distaste creeps into his voice. Slaves should not be allowed to talk back.

[Reinholdt]

"Me? Oh, no one special. I was just wondering if you actually knew anything about redemption or was just acting like you did. Lots of people around here act and lie. Though I don't really consider it a matter of honor." The cat shrugs. I don't even know if he knows what honor even means.

"You possess some strong logic at least."

[Murkus]

"Hi, yourself." Jamie's tone and expression say that if Jack the Quipper is looking for forgiveness from the Magical Girl, he should really look elsewhere. >> "What are you doing here?"

"Redemption. Should I know you?" Jack asks, quirking a brow and making the wards on his forehead look strange.

[The Bushranger]

"You might remember fighting my dad, Miss Shrike, and Miss Zamira."
Jamie bristles. She is too memorable!

[Murkus]

"No." Jack ponders a moment, pretending to be in deep thought. The wizard squints an eye shut, holding his chin. The mockery is fairly obvious. "No, nope. I know, like, one of those people."
