Oh yes! They've got a subtle smokiness to them but none of the gaminess of traditional "free range" meats. And they're not nearly as stringy as you'd expect. *nods sagely*

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
There's ... there's a question about my Hog Goblins?!
Of course I remember my old runnin' buddies!
It all started after I'd gotten home from seeing "Wild Hogs" (mock me if you must, but those guys could have been me at the time, middle aged men who happen to ride and were feeling a little case of the mid life crisis coming on). That got me to thinking about a good name for a group of bikers who happen to game (or vice versa, actually). I started a thread about it (long since victim to the Great Forum Purge) and Hog Goblins was what I went with. From there it was a matter of getting someone to draw up the logo (thank you, Ink, wherever you are!) as something that worked but wasn't too cheesy. Once that was accomplished, the call went out and a thread was formed in SMBG (because that's where "group" threads were being moved at the time, so I just started there). Sadly, it's place in SMBG made it not as noticable to a very large portion of the community and we never really got past those original four members...

Midnight Son (the most intimidating giant teddy bear from the Great White North I've ever run across)

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
*POOOF*
*Cough cough cough* Who summoned me?
Ahhh, Playground Squares is in need of a question.
Deathslayer7, I'm not sure which season Helgraf was thinking of when he made the category, but the winter season seems to be rife with B-Movies.
One such movbie is the Polar Bear King. How many of you have heard of this one?
It falls most closely into the Beauty and the Beast category of Fairy Tales.
A newly crowned king is cursed by a Witch to wear the form of a Polar Bear. He finds himself a Princess who falls in love with hm and...... they do not live happily ever after, yet.
Through more story than I wish to tell, the King is taken captive by the Witch, and they are to be married.
So it is up to the Princess, who should by now actually be referred to as the Queen, since they've married and had three children already..... Anyway, the Queen has to rescue her beloved.
At the start of her journey, after foolishly swimming through a cold river in her night gown, she is given three gifts to help her on her journey.
Deathslayer7, name these gifts.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
That's easy. I love that movie. Polar bears are totally cute. I mean all that muscle underneath. Mmmmmmm.....
Anyway, the three gifts hmmmm?
Well that is easy enough.
The first gift given to her that she uses is magical scissors that can create clothing out of nothing. So she makes herself winter clothes because it's cold.
The second gift she is given are magical shoes. They help her climb any surface, whether it be a vertical mountain or a vertical wall.
Lastly, the third gift she is given a bottle of air in which a magical wind is contained inside. Once the stopper is pulled, it will never stop blowing until broken. What is it used for? Watch the movie.
You can totally trust me boss ^^

Sorry, incorrect. But Deathslayer7's square remains open.
SpoilerThe first two items were correct. But the third was a magical tablecloth that creates delicious food at the clap of her hands.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
A dangerous creature that looks sweet and innocent, but only wishes to see your doom and eventual death. Avoid at all costs.
Quiet peace loving individuals that have managed to do enough science to realise the truth inherent in the universe and thus achieve enlightenment and become a super-intelligent shade of the colour blue.
He likes pie. A lot of pie. Feed him pie and you get yourself a new pet troll that you can attach to a leash and have follow you around, causing wacky hijinks wherever you go."I'm just going on motive and opportunity here and the fact that if the earth got swallowed by a black hole, I'd look suspiciously in your direction first."

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Castaras has been nice enough to demonstrate a variety of trolls.
However, for purposes of this question, we will consult the sage wisdom of Master Worrell. Master Worrell deduced that the weakness of a troll was to a particularly difficult substance to come by.
What was the substance that Master Worrell claimed could destroy trolls?Catatar made for me many years ago ... pretty sure by banjo1985

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Hmmm...
Well, I do believe that the answer is something Hungarian.
Hungarian Paprika, to be precise.
Master Worrell was smart enough to realise trolls don't like spicy stuff, you see.Last edited by The Bushranger; 2011-12-07 at 01:28 AM.
