Depending on the song, they might not identify it with ponies. Heck, hearing Winter Wrap Up or singing Flutterguy, you probably wouldn't even think of the show if you hadn't seen it beforehand.

...That's what Hasbro should make: singing Flutterguy Halloween cards. It's so fitting!

Is it bad that the first thing I heard the Flutterguy singing card sing in my head was the wildly inappropriate (let's call it Fluttercussing) song from youtube?

*Burnt and undistinguishable food stuff on table

Midnight: "Um... mom, dinner didn't turn out too well." *buries head in cook book. "I was sure it said 500 degrees."

Twilight: *buries head in another book "Well, the 'Holiday Cooking 101' says to try rosemary and thyme"

Midnight & Twilight: *busy discuss technicallity of various recipe as books pile up around them and more food burns.

Trixie: *facehoof "Spike? Dragon-gram to the Catering Ponies."

Oh, yes, that absolutely happened. That household is devastatingly terrible at cooking.

Twilight can't cook any more than toast, and Trixie knows enough to cook on the road for one but isn't especially good at anything past that.

Midnight, as you suggested, takes after Twilight.

Poor Spike was the only one in that household who knew anything about cooking actual good food, but he refused to do the cooking all the time.

They...they ate out, or with friends, a lot.

So uhh. Yeah. Here's my OC, Aria Muse.

I'm a huge fan of music (classical, opera, etc.) and Greek Mythology, so thusly the name. She is my two favorite colors, and has an appropriate cutie mark (trebel and bass clefs). I think I might get this as a tattoo someday. Also she's a pegasus, because I've loved pegasi since I got my first MLP back in like 1990. She has glasses the same color as mine. XD

I don't really have a backstory for her yet, but I'm working on it. I will do some fan art when I know my scanner is working. I'm not really good with GIMP or my tablet yet, even though I've had them for like 7 years..

I didn't really do much, just the cutie mark. The pony base was from whatstheirface's pony generator. And yeah, I know about the .jpeg issues.. 'Course I saved it in .jpeg and then closed it, so I'll have to redo it to get a clearer image. I'm better at drawing stuff by hand anyway.

That's exactly what I figured. (I had that strip in mind, but couldn't be bothered to look for it!)

Rarity moves her tail around like that as well - specifically at the end of episode 2, where she hugs it and uses it to push up her hair. Sweetie Belle has the same talent.

So it's a possibility it's endemic to all ponies, then. Limited tactile TK would explain how they pick things up relatively easily, especially if it applies to any part of their body (hooves, tail, mouth). Unicorn TK still has an edge (just like a human with TK would!), but it would logically mean that earth ponies could do some fine work (e.g. cooking, which notable Applejack and maybe Pinkie seem to be best at).

As the pteranodon swooped around for another pass, the droid tossed out his hastily-made lasso. The rope flew true and caught the prehistoric terror around the neck. With a whoop of mingled joy and fear, the bot jumped away from the deck and swung in a high arc over the beast's back, landing astride its wings.

Suddenly, a huge explosion sounded and crackling void energy shot by, narrowly missing the pteranodon as it swerved and the clockwork druid held on for dear life. When he finally regained his composure and the reptile ceased its evasive maneuvers, the little android inched his way up to the creature's neck and began to speak with it as only a druid can.

Slowly, very slowly, the creature began to calm down and cease its enraged screeching. The droid smiled and quickly fashioned the rope into a more comfortable harness. Whispering something to his newfound mount, both druid and saurian turned; it was time to have a word with their pursuers...

Also, I like the character WJMill. Pony glasses! Yay!

Out of the Sea of Dreams a periscope rises. The view drops below the surface to capture the name of the submarine, the Queen of Scolts - the flagship of the Scoltsland Imperial Navy. The view switches to the interior, where we see her captain. A white mare with crimson mane and tail, not much is known about the tonberrianne, except that she's the right-hand mare of Her Highness, Princess Berry Ann of Scoltsland.

"So our informant says the Princess is on that vessel, yes?"

"Aye!"

"Alright then, XO, charge the Main Berry Array, then tell the fleet to rise to 20, full blow. We're taking the fight to them!

"Aye! Prepare to rise, full blow!"

The Imperial Navy suddenly surfaces - and keeps on rising. Scoltsland paid good money for their flying submarines.

"All hands, battlestations! Send off a warning cherry bomb, then give me the comm!"

"All hands, battlestations! Cherry bomb away!"

The cherry bomb detonates harmlessly over Siuis's ship.

"Attention Siuis! Return the Princess at once! If you do not comply, I am authorized to use highly silly force!"

A new ship enters the field, smaller than the rest, and only with cupcake firing capabilities, but what it lacks in brute force it makes up for in speed.

Kommodore Kurgan sits on the bridge, preparing to enter the fray. His orders were specific: obtain the Princess and all of the other prisoners and bring them to the party. He looked to the Pink One insignia that was etched over the ceiling...and the walls, and some of the floor as well, come to think of it. Streamers were fun and all, but sometimes the Kommodore thought that the others overdid it at times.

He thought of the fun he was missing out on back at base. Looking at his time-piece, he saw that midafternoon cake time had passed already. He sighed, pulled up his looking glass, and surveyed the carnage.

Reports indicate that the Princess is aboard Siuis' ship. Pull up next to it and prepare for boarding. (I don't think purple was taken yet for this, was it?)

Hi there, uh Captain. Im just as dumbfounded as you are. Frankly, I have no idea what is going on here. But what the hay, This will make a good story someday. Nice entrance by the way, very smooth. *he opens his bag and puts on a Fedora. Through a port hole he catches a glimpse of what looks like a dinosaur and a robot pony riding it.* You know what... I'm only mildly surprised to see that now. Either that, or im just making all this up! I could be crazy... always a possibility...

Tell him to poof his plot back here before i find him and drop him off a cliff.

I can't help but think that the entire point to have a submarine fleet is just for the chance to use Torpiedoes. And I am very ok with that.

As the pteranodon winged past the dream ship, the droid waved at a slightly nonplussed Kip, then turned his attention to avoiding the minefield of cupcakes and torpiedoes that had suddenly appeared.

His flying mount responded well, instinctively changing course to avoid collisions, while the droid's focus switched to the Void flagship he saw ahead. As the dinosaur passed over the ship, the druid leaped down to the deck, shouting in his best Fluttershy impression:

Shooting Void energy at nice flying dinosaurs is naughty and you should be ashamed of yourself!

With that, the little bot made a running jump off the side of the ship before its crew could react to his presence, landing safely on his mount which had banked around, passing under the keel.
