    As Bofsun rounds the corner and slides into the room, he quickly notices the pandemonium beginning to spread at the sight of the undead. Sliding his Ranseur from the latch on his back, he readies it quickly, standing just behind the bottleneck.

    As one of the mummies moves towards Nothker, Bofsun attempts to hit it with a trip attempt. However, the doorway hampers his attempt just enough that he misses the mummy. The mummy then attempts to grab Nothker, but Nothker prevents the mummy from getting a hold of him by bringing his greatsword down on it.

    A second mummy moves towards Nothker and also attempts to grab him. The mummy gets a solid hold of Nothker. Nothker attempts to prevent the mummy from maintaining the hold, but he is easily overpowered. The mummy then moves into Nothker's space while grappling him. As the mummy moves, Bofsun hits the mummy with his ranseur, but he doesn't do any damage.

    The other mummies each move towards the door a bit.

    Trip attacks with a weapon do not provoke AoO's. While a ranseur is not specifically mentioned as a weapon you can make a trip attack with, I did some research and it seems reasonable to me to allow it. You missed because the doorway provides cover relative to your square.

    Also, for future reference, if you lose the trip attempt are you going to drop your weapon to avoid being tripped?

    The updated map is up, note the symbol in the upper-right corner of Nothker's square, that shows that the mummy is also in the square and they are grappling.

    Hearing the commotion from the hallway, Soren speedily exits the barracks, his air elemental familiar flying swiftly at his side. Upon catching a glance at the undead, however, he can feel terror creeping up his spine...

    He grits his teeth and ignores the fear, although his familiar cowers above his head in fright. He points at the mummy grappling Nothker.
    <Auran>"Suffer the wind's wrath!"
    Three nearly-invisible ripples in the air streak from his outstretched fingers and pummel into the Mummy's undead flesh, unerringly striking it and missing Nothker completely.

    Upon seeing the mummies, he'll need to make a Will save conceivably:
    Soren's Will save: (1d20+7)[18]
    Wisp's Will save: (1d20+5)[13]

    If he's not paralyzed with fear, Soren will move to AS-15, then fire a Magic Missile spell at the mummy grappling Nothker. Force damage: (3d4+3)[13]

    there are some actions that depend on the opposed grapple of the mummy, so I just included all rolls and will edit the post depending what actually happened


    Nothker attempts to escape the tuscle he is in with the mummy and move back to the open area adjacent to the door to strike the poor wretched creature with his blade.
    Unfortunately the mummy proves stronger than he, something which outright infuriates him.

    Nissa feels a chill trought the spine as she sees the undead horror but manages to remain calm and udner control. Her wolf pet however, does not overcome the primal instinct of fear.

    Seeing her ally in trouble, she casts a spell to damage the mummy grapling him. 3 force bolts spring for her open hand with great speed, as she uses a thalisman as the arcane focus of ehr spell

    casts magic missile, and expends 1 out of 3 uses of my enpowered spellshard (magic missile). This means the MM's become enpowerd at zero metamagic cost.

    Bofsun grits his teeth as the Mummy somehow manages to be missed by the tip of his Ranseur. He quickly blames the wall for his misfortunes. Realizing that the bottleneck affords him considerable issue, he instead decided to take another tactic; opting to force the mindless foes to enter battle with him, protecting his allies from their gaze.

    "Servents of Vecna! Battle me, if ye feel that ye have the strength! You know I be 'yer biggest threat!"

    Test of Mettle as a Swift Action versus all Non-Friendly Targets within 100 feet. All must make will saves of DC 15 or are forced to target me and me exclusively with all targeted attacks.

    Also, I designate Nothker as my Shield Ally. I absorb 1/2 of the damage he takes.


    He then quickly thrusts the tip of his Ranseur through the small opening in the door, praying to Thor to strike true.

    Not quite accurate on test of mettle. For example, Mummy 5, even if he fails, doesn't have to target you. Test of Mettle specifically notes that enemies don't have to do things like trigger AoO's to attack you. These mummies don't have ranged attacks, so he would keep attacking Nothker. Also, you don't have LOS or LOE to any mummies except 5 and 6.

    Mummy 5 save - (1d20+8)[11]
    Mummy 6 save - (1d20+8)[26]


    The mummies by the doorway hear Bofsun's challenge, and while the one in the doorway seems to ignore it, the one grappling Nothker takes an interest.

    Bofsun then attacks the mummy in the doorway with three quick and powerful thrusts of his ranseur. Between the doorway and Nothker grappling nearby, Bofsun is unable to accurately aim his attacks.

    Round 2

    The mummy in the doorway viciously slams Nothker in the head before stepping out of the way. Bofsun manages to intercept some of the damage. Then, the mummy grappling Nothker pulls him back into the doorway, clearly trying to pull him into the room.

    Two more mummies step next to Nothker, each one landing very solid blows.

    The final mummy takes another couple of steps towards the door.

    As Nothker gets beaten by the mummies he loses a lot of blood, and filth from the mummies gets into his wounds. Nothker can feel a creeping, rotting feeling invading his body.

    Mummy 5 took a 5' step to AT12.
    Nothker, Mummy 6 and Mummy 3 are all in AS12.

    Nissa, unable to magicly rescue Nothker, decides to attack instead.

    Holding her longsowrd on two hands, she hurl it toward the mummys. Magicly transmutated, the blade slashes tought the creatures and then return to the sorceress

    Nissa's blade flies out of her hand and towards the mummies. It misses the one grappling Nothker, but it cuts deeply into two mummies behind him. The first mummy it hits turns collapses and turns to dust as the sword passes through it.

    Bofsun unflinchingly wades through the foes set before him, gingerly slipping by his allies in the process and welcoming the attacks from the mummies he walks past; it means he was doing his job and successfully distracting them from their fallen comrade.

    One he had set himself yet again, he spun on heel and proudly, strongly stated his intention to the mummy before him.

    "By the time I'm through with 'ye, ye'll be nothing but bandages and mincemeat. By the power of Thor, I shall cleanse yer kind!"

    Holding standard action (if possible, not familiar with held actions) until any mummy moves into a threatened square. At that time he will attack.

    As Bofsun moves amongst the mummies, two of them take swings at him. They both miss, but one swings so hard that it losses its balance and falls onto the ground. It falls so hard that it looks like it takes some damage.

    The mummies then proceed to attack Bofsun. As the one in the middle of the room approaches Bofsun, Bofsun attacks him with his ranseur. However, Bofsun overextends himself leaving an opening in his defenses. The mummy holding Nothker drops him and attacks Bofsun, but it misses.

    Two of the mummies miss, but mummy that fell stands up and lands a solid shot against Bofsun as does the approaching mummy. Bofsun can feel a creeping, rotting feeling invading his body.

He needed open space and options to maneuver; the claustrophobic halls were preventing these tactics, and putting his companions in danger of his powerful, but indiscriminate, magic. He unleashes another salvo of unerring force missiles, before taking cover by the door of the empty barracks.

He was thankful that they were willing to stand in harm's way, but he did not envy them their chosen martial path. Wisp swirls about the raptoran's head warily, ruffling his feathers.

    Bofsun looks extremely winded as he allows his Ranseur to fall to his side, letting it hand loosely in his fingertips. After a few moments he lets out a whooping cough; one could nearly hear the back of his throat rending as his body did its best to resist the rotting of his body from the inside out.

    However, true to form, he would never let that show.

    "W-Whew. That was a mite close fer comfort." He pauses to allow for a gasp of breath. "Jus' let old Bofsun catch his breath 'fer a minute folks. We'll be right as rain in no time. See to ol' Nothker first. This ol' Dwarf is just fine.

    His mind couldn't quite overpower the betraying of his body as yet another cough echoed, bouncing against the cold, dreary stone walls.

    "Aye... A tomb it is. Is that nye what we're best at dealing with though?"

    Where a jovial chuckle would normally be, the only sound that followed the already breathy statement of jest was yet another gasp for breath.

    Roderick glanced at Bofsun with concern. Later, Nothker needs help first. Roderick hurried over to the side of his fallen companion. And tried to heal some of his wounds.

    Roderick bends over Nothker and invokes the power of Pelor to try and heal him. However, he realizes with dismay that the curse of the mummy's touch has proved too powerful this time, and the healing fails to work.

    Roderick gritted his teeth and spat out a curse. "Bofsun, do you feel odd, I believe that both you and Nothker are afflicted with Mummy Rot." Roderick feel into deep prayer over Bofsun.
