Butler grins! He knows this one! "It means you're living sir!"

Yay! Easy questions.

But can one be considered alive without serious thought? How do you respond to Descartes: Cogito, ergo sum?

"Sure sir. I don't think Decker's had a serious thought in her life sir."

Butler considers the second question.
"You... want the sum for the cogs in your cart that you're purchasing from the store sir? I really couldn't tell you sir."

Toby opens and closes his mouth a few times while he tries to figure out a new plan of attack. But... Okay, the idea of "I think, therefore I am". That conscious thought is a prerequisite for existence.

"That's really silly sir. You clearly only think because you exist sir. If you didn't exist, you wouldn't think at all sir!"

Butler's not even going to try and figure out what prerequisite means! Or conscious, or sapient, or ponder.
Man this guy must be really smart to know all those big words.

... You know what? You win. Congratulations Butler, you're a philosopher now. Toby chuckles and rubs his head, glad that nobody saw this.

Somehow I think it was Butler who ended up taking advantage of Tobias.
"What do fingers have to do with the amount of time I have available to do my different jobs sir?"
Plus he's not that stupid. Comes pretty close.

Toby starts holding up his fingers. Well, I'm a father, husband, Druid, king, doctor, trickster, friend, and badass. Counting all my fingers and toes, that leaves me with twelve more things I can be if I want to. This is a rather ridiculous bluff check...

"But only three of those are jobs sir. And you're not bad sir. You're a great person sir."
Tobias has incoming Butler hugs!

Father and husband are totally full time time jobs! I have to be on the lookout for nasty Exalteds and nymphs. And then he gets hugged and can't help but hug Butler back. ... Thanks.

"Father's a job, yes sir. But husband is a gift sir." Father, king, and doctor are the three jobs!

Butler will let go after getting decent hugs back.
"You're welcome sir. Let me know if you need anything else sir."

Butler goes to head off and clean windows. Cause that's what butlers do.

Toby takes a look around to make sure nobody was watching that, mentally files Butler in his paranoid suspicions file under Obfuscating Stupidity, and heads to the main cabin to get some lunch.

"Oh really? Great! I was meaning to ask about how that was going." Irene grins. It's nice to see a plan come together.

"What have you got?"

Several people have offered to help out. Jazirian wants to perform shapeshifting-assisted circus tricks, the Applehills will take care of the catering... There's some more things here that her player can't quite remember. I think we're as ready as we can be. Others can join in during the event.

"Sounds good. Quinn wants to learn how to give boat rides, so I figure we should get or hire an instructor to do that that day. If we're holding it here and not further outside some place. Is there any particularly redeemees that volunteered or that I should go bug at the last minute?" Irene asks.

Reinholdt has stepped out. After taking two steps, his eyes go wide and he stops, perfectly still. Slowly, painfully slowly, he crouches to examine the ground around him.

"Well... Mommy died when Rae was six, but Daddy lived in heaven anyways so they could stay together and a long time later mommy got pregnant and had me, and then she had my little brother." Saera explains to the goop, figuring people can probably hear through just a little of it.

Jack Empty agreed to provide security with his magic... of course, he'll need to be watched closely as well. You can go ahead and bug the rest, I suppose.

"Well it's as much for them as it is for charity. I'll go see what I can do and let you know." Irene will go to float and go look for *checks front page* Tobias, Olivia, Zero, and Valaira. Mercury hasn't been around in forever and I'm not self-RPing.

Toby is eating a sammich in the main cabin.

The Druids starts humming the Ghostbuster's theme, then swallows the last bite of food before looking at Irene suspiciously. I didn't do it.

"Didn't do what?" Irene asks, raising an eyebrow.

Whatever you came here for. Just because he can't remember doing something wrong doesn't mean nobody's going to blame him.

Huh. Char says wiping deadtime ooze away. Are your parents here?

Saera nods, and points to her parents, an angel that looks a lot like Rae, but built stronger and with short hair and a pretty blonde woman in a white suit that looks to be the same age as Rae, standing together over by the cake. "That's them!" She says happily.

"Uh-huh..." Irene says, taking a note that Tobias is probably doing something he isn't supposed to behind GLoG's back.
