Personally, I think it's silly (and maybe even a little hypocritical) for so many people to go on about the history and tradition of that week, and then change the name from Gender Bender to Gender Swap. The old name rhymed too, which is always a nifty bonus, so why the change?

What's in a name? That which we call our Gender 'swap' week,
by any other name would be just as sweet.

It's quite likely that we simply forgot the intricacies of the name and as a group went with gender swap. I do prefer gender 'bender' but the week is the same regardless.

I'll change it if there's some support for the name swap, but quite frankly, I don't really care. Gnomey is right; it's the same deal with a different label. Reese cups would be no less awesome if they came in a blue wrapper rather than an orange one.
