Quinn smiles, and reaches for Caroline's hand.
"Like I said, we need to talk privately..."

If she can get Caroline away from Vincent's immediate earshot, she'll continue:

Rose chuckles. "For help, maybe. In terms of information, I'd say I know more about Abyssal Exalted than they do.

I'd take him out myself, but I want to know if he's here for reasons other than his master being malicious."

"Well... if we get more party members, we can switch out so that you're not in all of the quests I guess." Vincent says.

He does not interfere with Caroline getting dragged off by Quinn if she wants to goes with.

Cherry Cabin

What quickly swings with his other arm, bringing the bonesaw up to slash at the beast's neck. What's not expecting to end the battle that quickly, though. He's anticipating an attempt to parry the strike with one of those hatchets the Wolfen uses, and might have an idea or two in mind already to deal with that. What's got to move fast, though. Every minute he spends fighting this thing is another minute his prey could be trying to escape, or an opportunity for another GLoG member to discover him.

Cherry Cabin

Waterstrider tries to raise his hatchet to block the incoming attack, but only now realizes he lost it in the tackle. This means that it's only his arm that's in the way of the saw. He can't help but give a roar of agony as it cuts deeply into his wrist, nearly severing it. The pain is enough to send him leaping back, grabbing at his left wrist and clamping his paw around the wound to try and stop the bleeding.

Renetta looks away and back out the window, but not fast enough to properly hide the scared and worried look that crosses her face. It's not 'Oh no, a vampire!' fear. She's never seen a vampire before.

"Yeah... I'll be fine though. I have to be strong and-" Her voice cracks and she stops.

"Oh, don't worry. It'll be be okay in the end, I'm sure."

Olivia frowns and reaches out to try to sympathetically pat the elf woman on the shoulder.

"What's your name? I'm Olivia."

Near Cherry, but not too near

There is a scream... high pitched and high volume, and it carries well. A halfling boy, who just saw one of his best friends grievously injured.

He doesn't try to run to Waterstrider. He knows better than that. His parents and Waterstrider himself have told him and his sister over and over, run away from danger, towards help. So he does that. Screaming.

((Anyone who wants to hear or intercept the screaming child should be able to.))

Caroline goes with Quinn and listens to her. But frowns sadly. But... I want to be with him. We have fun together. Isn't there someway we can convince Catoline to not harm my friends?

The elf nods. She wipes away the tears that were forming before turning back to Olivia. "I'm Renetta, and thanks. It's just, it's hard not to be scared."

Olivia tries to put on her bravest smile. Again, huge fangs.

"I know what you mean. But you have to accept the frightening things and make the best of li-"

The vampire pauses when she stops herself from saying "life", mulling over the word distastefully.

"Perhaps you could try meditating - with supervision - and talk to her yourself?" Quinn suggests, in a soft voice. "But...well, your pushing yourself beyond your limits to try and keep up with Vincent isn't good for your health either, dear. He wouldn't want you to hurt yourself, would he?"


[Infirmary]

"Oh. Well, I've fought Terrestrial Exalted before. I can help if you need any help!" Jamie tells Rose.

Renetta nods. "I know that. I just wish I knew more about it. Pregnancy is something you're supposed to talk to your mother about when you've gotten married where I'm from. But I- I haven't been home in a long time."

She doesn't even have experience with other pregnant women. She's an only child and it wasn't normal for women to go out while pregnant. Usually they seem to disappear for ten to eleven months, then next time you see them they have a baby. She doesn't even know how the baby being half orc will influence how long the pregnancy is. Worry, worry, worry.

Olivia doesn't have much real experience either. She just has generic knowledge one would pick up growing up in a city like Inside.

"Maybe you should talk to a doctor or nurse. Someone who's delivered many babies and knows all the tricks and problems that could happen."

The vampire beams. Fangs.

"I'm sure learning more about pregnancy you'd be less worried. Maybe you could even get a book about it."

Yes, reading will help! Then she only has to deal with being the single mother of a child who's father is a rapist/slaver. Not to mention her rather complicated relationship with Waterstrider, who's now apparently missing a hand, and the fact that she has no idea how to get home to her family. >.>

"That's a good plan. At least I could figure out some things. I don't have any money for a book though. I... I'm one of the slaves that was rescued a while back."
